Chipman, 22, was last seen on Sept. 21, 2005, five kilometres east of Prince Rupert. She was hitchhiking to Terrace along Highway 16 -- on a stretch of road nicknamed for the girls and women who have vanished there since 1969.
She had recently shaved her head, but was known to wear red, blonde and brunette wigs. She may have been wearing a light jacket and jeans.

Nicole Hoar was 25 years old and working as a tree planter in B.C. when she vanished on June 21, 2002, while hitch-hiking along Hwy 16 to visit her sister in Smithers, B.C.
Age 19, disappeared on October 7th, 1995. Last seen at a gas station near Terrace, BC (Thornhill), traveling East on Highway 16 to her home in the Hazelton area. She was enrolled in studies at Northwest Community College in Terrace.

Shelly-Ann Bacsu, 16, was last seen on May 3, 1983 near Hinton, Alta. She was walking home along Highway 16 and is on the Highway of Tears list.
Shelly was last seen walking towards her home. Nobody has seen or heard from her since. She has freckles and a small scar on her forehead. She is affected by rheumatoid arthritis and has a hearing impairment.
