Looks like there was an hour and a half window when she disappeared:

Shelley Mook was last seen about 3 p.m. Monday, Detective Sgt. Brian Crews said.

"She had been living in Shelbyville and just moved to Murfreesboro over the weekend," Crews said. "She has an ex-husband that lives in Bedford County. As far as we can tell, he is the last person to see her when she went to his house to drop off their daughter," Crews said. "She was supposed to meet a maintenance man at her new apartment on Monday afternoon at 4:30 but, according to the landlord. she never showed up."

I wonder what the ex has to say about their last interaction. Was it a volatile relationship? This sounds bad but I sure hope I'm wrong.

It's big news here in Nashville and it looks very bad. I don't think there will be a good resolution to this one...unfortunately...

This does not look good. She is recently divorced, moves to another town, her child is with her ex on Monday and he is the last one to see her.
Her car is found burned. Some news reports say car was found on Monday, but local police did not know til Thursday.

I doubt that she torched her own car.

Hoping there are security cameras at her new home.

The Bedford County Sheriff’s Department has asked the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to examine the vehicle in hopes of helping determine what may have happened to the teacher, Shelley Mook.

"Our agent went out to look at it (Thursday) to see if there was enough left of the car to bring it in to the crime lab for processing, but there was not," said Kristin Helm, public information officer for the TBI.

Sheriff Boyce said Mook graduated from Middle Tennessee State University. He said they have been in contact with Mook's family in Pennsylvania and that her mother is planning to come down.

An Edinboro native and General McLane High School graduate has gone missing in her now hometown in Tennessee

Now, the search is on after her car was found up in flames off of a highway.

24 year old Shelley Mook who is an Edinboro native went missing Monday afternoon in Shelbyville,Tennessee and now local authorities are trying to piece everything together to help search for her.

Mook had been living in a home on Meadow Drive in Shelbyville since her divorce from Tyler Augustus Mook of Shelbyville, according to Sheriff Randall Boyce.

Deputies had been called to the Nashville Dirt Road home for what Boyce termed "problems" connected with the couple's divorce, but no violent acts had been reported or charges filed.

Does anyone have info on the husband? How long they were married, did they meet in PA or TN? I think his name may be Jeff? Her maiden name is Jones.
"Boyce said the department has spoken with Mook's ex-husband, Tyler Mook.
Asked if he was a person of interest, Boyce said: "Everybody is a person of interest until we find her."

    Interesting ...
Detectives with the Bedford County Sheriff's Department have recovered a pricey piece of farm equipment stolen more than a year ago and have arrested the man they claim is responsible.

28-year-old Tyler Augustus Mook of Old Nashville Dirt Road was taken into custody Tuesday and charged with theft of property over $1,000 and alteration of serial numbers. He is currently free on $20,000 bond.

I'm not saying it necessarily applies to this particular case, but in an attempt to answer your question, check out the clip below from the 3:00 mark until the 5:00 mark. Dr. Lee Warren talks about how the economy is crashing, guys wives are leaving them, and it's causing mental institutions to be overwhelmed and some dudes are snapping. Perhaps the mental health problem epidemic resulting from the current state of the economy is a catalyst for a lot of these domestic violence type murders.

Sadly this appears to be yet another case where there is an ex-husband, his wife has moved on in her life to a new place, only to go missing, and now her car has been found completely burned out.

    And her poor daughter.....
