Having a son near the same age with Asperger's, and other medical as David, that I can only hope and pray that David has some insulin with him (that the family was not aware) and somehow met "good" people and lost track of time. I am very worried for him. My prayers.

The family of a missing Albany man is pleading for the public's help to find their son.
His car has been found near Boston, but no word from him since he left home unexpectedly on Wednesday, the last time Eileen Mark of Albany saw her 24-year-old son David.

"Probably because he has Asperger's Syndrome, he kind of left our home at the spur of the moment to visit his sister,” Eileen Mark said.
Police say they found David’s car Friday afternoon in front of a school about a mile from his sister's house in Newton, Massachusetts.
But he hasn't been in touch with her.

Yes. We saw the post by "goodsamaritan" and reported it to his family. His mom and dad are hanging posters now. We are putting together a number of them also to have emailed to shelters. If anyone else wishes to volunteer to to help contact shelters via email to get posters, please let me know. I have two staff members who will assist but the more ..the better. Email me at lostnmissing@comcast.net Thank you.

I don't see it mention the phone isn't his, but it does say he's been back to the vehicle. Which is encouraging. He looks like a gentle, happy young man. I hope he's well and comes home soon.

ETA: Wonder if they know he's been back because of the note parents left on the car for him?

ETA, again: I see now what you meant. The article linked in the first post of the thread has footnoted regarding the cell phone. Curious too, whose it was then, and where his is and if it's been shut off since last mentioned ping?

Mark's cellphone was then pinged around 6:40 p.m. at the Charlestown Navy Yard, Apotheker said. It seems Mark returned to his car on Middlesex Road later on, a phone was found in the car, however, detectives determined it did not belong to Mark.

Mark said he and his wife, Eileen, have been distraught over their son's disappearance.

"It has been horrendous," Mark said. "We don't know if he's been eating or where he's been sleeping."

Mark said David had about $40 cash in his wallet, and his debt card has not been used since he left Albany.

Apotheker urged anyone who sees David to call 911 and not to be afraid to approach him as there is no indication he would be harmful to anyone.

"Just walk up to him and say, 'David, it looks like you need some help,' " Mark said.

I teared up reading that last night, and that doesn't happen often for me reading cases. Unfortunately, I am not local and can't help hands-on. This is breaking my heart a little.
