CA - Registered Sex Offender Lures Kids With His Parrot
Forget about the old puppy ploy. Robert DeSilva a RSO coaxed kids at a Huntingdon Beach Pier to play with his parrot Mango.
Some on the ball person called the cops. Once they arrived no kids were present, but DeSilva admitted he was a RSO. They called his PO and yepper he violated his probation.

Police believe this RSO has more victims out there.
They urge anyone that recognizes him to come forward in case their children have had contact with creeper.
They even have a photograph of Mango here if people recognize the parrot.

No!! That's my pier. I grew up just 2 blocks block from the HB Pier. Wonderful and quirky place. We used to ditch school to watch the International Surfing Championships each year. At the time, in the early 70s, we were the only high school in the lower 48 where girls could wear bikini tops to class and go barefoot. Far more innocent times.....in some ways. I got engaged on that pier 39 years ago next month. Shame on this creep for ruining all the fun there. First it's Mardi Gras and now it's the HB Pier. Jeesh.
What a slime. Always a new trick up their sleeve. I hear parrots can bite pretty badly. Sad Mango didn't take a good nice piece out of DeSilva. I happen to know of some excellent bird rescue groups in Southern California. Mango deserves better.
