Case File 636DMKS
http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/636dmks.html
Stan Galbreath
Missing since November 1980 from Winfield, Cowley County, Kansas
Classification: Endangered Missing
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vital Statistics
Date Of Birth: August 24, 1943
Age at Time of Disappearance: 37 years old
Height and Weight at Time of Disappearance: 5'9"; 160 lbs.
Distinguishing Characteristics: White male. Blue eyes; black hair. Short black beard.
Marks, Scars, Tattoos: Tattoo on upper right arm that says "Beth". Stiches in head.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Circumstances of Disappearance
Galbreath was last seen driving his Prairieland Processors truck, bound for Hutchinson. He made scheduled stops in Wichita and at the Valley Center High School. Witnesses saw the truck sideswiping parked cars. Hours later, Stan's truck turned up in a parking lot in Wichita with Stan's blood inside. Galbreath's sunglasses and ball cap were found in the cab of the truck. His body has not been recovered. Witness descriptions of the man seen sideswiping cars and ditching the meat truck varied, but it was not Stan. Galbreath was abducted and killed and the meat was stolen from the 18-foot refrigerated truck he was driving for Prairieland Processors, investigators believe. Further, they think the meat was targeted and Galbreath happened to be the person driving the truck that day.
Galbreath was declared legally dead in 1985.
