I hope this does not lead to long term damages for this innocent baby.

Erin Hendrix appeared aggravated while a woman described how well her daughter is doing now that she's no longer in Hendrix's care. But Hendrix, 29, of Willoughby, showed no reaction after being sentenced Tuesday to life in prison with the possibility of parole in 15 years...

Hendrix was convicted last month by a Lake County Common Pleas Court jury of complicity to attempted aggravated murder, complicity to attempted murder, complicity to felonious assault, two counts of complicity to endangering children and six counts of complicity to contaminating a substance for human consumption or use.

Her daughter, H, is now 3 years old and living with foster parents in an undisclosed location in Ohio...

Prosecutors said Hendrix gave potentially deadly doses of lead to her daughter for 17 months in 2008 and 2009 while living in Lake, Cuyahoga and Belmont counties. They said Hendrix blamed her financial problems on her daughter's rare genetic syndrome that affects her eyesight, heart, hearing and growth...

The lead is stored in the child's bones and will be released into her bloodstream as she grows older, and could cause additional problems.
