FRACKVILLE - After finding Kevin Lucas' vehicle Friday morning near the Schuylkill Mall in New Castle Township, state police helicopters, K-9 units and foot patrols scoured the area for seven hours looking for traces of the Gordon man missing since March 7.

TY for posting. It's almost 2 weeks and now our paper decides to cover it? I'll keep an eye out for any additional information. My first thought was the creeks from our flooding, but that occurred 4 days after he was last seen...

ETA: Please tell me that's not a mugshot for his photo. Is he to be considered dangerous? A danger to himself? others?

FRACKVILLE - A "severely decomposed" body was found Saturday afternoon in Ryan Township near the Interstate 81/Route 61 interchange, according to state police at Frackville.

Butler Township (Schuylkill County) police said the body found Saturday is not related to the search for Lucas.

The county coroner's office said Monday morning the decomposed body found Saturday in a wooded area in Ryan Township is not Kevin Lucas, a Gordon man missing since March 7.

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS - Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers and Butler Township police are asking for the public's help in locating a Gordon man who was last seen on March 7 and hasn't been heard from since.

There was a body found last night. It was a man but has not yet been id'd. Just thought I'd post here since it's only 4 miles from where Kevin's vehicle was found.

There's not much to either article so I'm not quoting for copyright reasons...

DNA comparison testing determined that the bone belonged to Lucas. Based on the results and investigative findings, a death certificate was issued by Schuylkill County Coroner Dr. David J. Moylan.

Moylan said that the investigation is still being treated as a missing person, the same way it was 1 1/2 years ago.
