SEMMES, Ala. -- The Mobile County Sheriff's Office is hoping the public knows the whereabouts of 34-year-old Tracy Renee Dearmon, who has been missing from the Semmes area for nearly two months.

Spokeswoman Lori Myles said Dearmon has not been seen since Dec. 17, and that relatives reported her missing on Jan. 6.

She is 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs about 140 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes. Anyone who knows where she is or has seen her recently should call the Mobile County Sheriff's Office at 251-574-8633.

In May, Sean Barnett was convicted of corpse abuse, stemming from a series of incidents dating to around Christmas of 2010, when Dearmon likely breathed her last after overdosing on methamphetamine.

According to trial testimony, Barnett and another man put Dearmon's body in a tool box, crushed it with a backhoe, then placed it in a pit and set fire to it. Her remains were found on Barnett's property off Schillinger Road in west Mobile...

Graddick admitted struggling with an appropriate sentence for Barnett, and swung back and forth between the defense request of straight probation and the prosecution's desire for the full 10-year prison term. Graddick decided on a split sentence, with three years to be served in prison, followed by three years of probation.
