Police looking for missing girl, 2, and father
Miami-Dade police are asking for help finding a missing 2-year-old girl and her father.
Angelina Montes, 2, has been missing since Feb. 28, police said. They believe she is being hidden by her father, Samuel Montes, 21, who does not have custody of her.
He also is part of an open abuse investigation by the Department of Children & Families regarding Angelina.

Father Wanted in Missing Child Case
A Miami-Dade father who is currently being investigated by the state child welfare agency for abuse has gone missing with his 2-year-old daughter, police said Wednesday.
Police believe Montes, who is the non-custodial parent, is trying to flee the country with the girl, although police would not comment on why the man would be on the run.

Father denied bond...
I hope my gut feeling is wrong. My heart can't bear the thought of anyone harming this beautiful baby...let alone her own "father"....

Immigration Hold Placed on Father in Child Disappearance Case
A man charged with interfering with parental custody rights in connection with the disappearance of his 3-year-old daughter is expected to stay in custody until his trial after a judge set his bail at $250,000 and an immigration hold was placed on him Tuesday, his attorney said.

It seems that it will be very difficult to have this child turned over to DCF. The grandparents are the ones who have her.

The girl's grandparents were convinced to take her to court Friday to prove that Angelina is safe. During the hearing, Angelina never let go of her grandmother.The Department of Children and Families is now starting a home study and a child protective investigation to determine who will have custody of the child
