    Oh no. Poor little Adam.

Hope fading for missing autistic boy from Laval

Police divers are combing the icy waters of a river that runs along a rural property in Laval, Que., where a young autistic boy went missing on the weekend.

    [snip]

As night fell, there was no sign of the missing boy. A day later, there are growing fears that Benhamma may not have been able to survive a long, cold night in the woods.

My thoughts are with his mother.

Adam’s mother, who was not in the house at the time, reportedly had to be hospitalized upon hearing the news that her son was missing.

N**** said autistic children "are more likely to just stop, and rock back and forth, and save energy" when they end up separated from loved ones. The fact that Benhamma is only three years old may also have limited how far he wandered.

"When you combine those two elements, it means that there's a very good chance also that he has found a hiding place,"

Benhamma has dark hair and was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a striped toque when he went missing. He is two feet tall and weighs 25 pounds.

It was about this time last year where another 4 year old Quebec boy
Nicolas Pineault from Sainte-Clotilde-de-Horton, dissapeared under similar
    circumstances.
    Playing outside beside a river.
He was found about a month later about 5 km. down river.

Small children should always be supervised when playing outside near water whether
    they are healthy or not.
