Man dies after deer launched into car ((Caledon, Ontario, Canada))

TORONTO -- A motorist died Saturday afternoon after a deer struck by another car became airborne and slammed into his vehicle in the town of Caledon, police said.
"It's extremely rare" for someone to be killed in a collision involving a deer, OPP Const. Peter Leon said.
The 52-year-old man was pronounced dead after the crash on Mississauga Rd., just north of Mill St.
Leon said a northbound driver -- who was unhurt -- hit the deer and it was thrown into the path of the southbound vehicle.
The deer was killed.
The identity of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The road was closed for several hours for the police investigation.
