    Please continue here!

Holly Lynn Bobo was last seen early on the morning of April 13, 2011, outside of her home in Darden, Tennessee. She was seen being led away from the carport of her home toward a wooded area by a man described as approximately 5'8" to 6'0" tall and 200 pounds, wearing camouflage clothing.

Holly Lynn Bobo was last seen wearing a pink shirt and light blue jeans.

To the person that said welcome thanks!

I've been thinking about this case as much as I can over the last few days. A lot of it still doesnt make much sense as bits and pieces are still uncofirmed. Did the neighbor hear something and call 911 as that's huge to me....there are acres between properties and at the very least would provide some initial guidance on direction.

Was/where was the duct tape found? DId they get to the bottom of the car...was it relevant or irrelevant/someone elses car?

At one of the early pressers (Thursday??) when asked who called 911, the sheriff answered "A neighbor".

Duct tape was found and was shown in a vid clip with a member of LE but it is unclear yet exactly where it was found.

The car, at least on my scorecard is still listed as 'uncertain'. Some of our fellow WS heard it live and it has been mentioned in a couple of news reports, but the news reports I've read are similar to the rumors circulating earlier in the case. Until I hear it from LE, it remains as uncertain.

    Oh, and welcome to WS!

    Most interesting paragraph ...

"Investigators were going door-to-door to ask neighbors near the Bobo home if they saw anything the day she disappeared, Gwyn told reporters on Monday afternoon. Another 30 leads came in Monday, bringing the total to about 280, he said"
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Other thing to mention and I'm sure they're checking into this is potential suspects that live in the general direction/vector of the evidence that they've so far found. In stressfull situations people will always head towards their comfort zone to at least regroup their thoughts.

Was a specific location given for the lunch box or is it being assumed it's in the area they moved the search too which would be just SW of the alleged car which may or may not be related?

Think about it if you're out and about and something terrible happens the first thing most people do is point the car to their safe place...whatever it is.

Given that Holly was abducted so early in the morning, her cell phone surely was fully charged. Surely Clint, Mom & Dad tried to call her repeatedly after realizing something had happened? Pings?

I don't think we can even form a theory without knowing how far apart the various pieces of Holly's belongings were found. (A CBS article today said phone and purse were also found, but I don't know if that is true, with the way reporting has been.)

I think it is possible that the abductor tossed the lunch box out the window of his car after he harmed/left Holly, on his way away from the abduction area. Maybe he had not seen it until that point and wanted everything gone from his vehicle.

What is hard for me to imagine is Holly walking with this man, maybe him holding her arm, and she has her lunch box, purse, phone and possibly school books (LE asked searchers to keep an eye out for books). How is she carrying all of this stuff? Is it a backpack? And why weren't her items found very close to the edge of the woods, where I am imagining a struggle of some sort must have taken place?

I don't think she could have been in a position to leave any sort of a trail; surely he would have had to restrain her in order to get her away from the area, no one imagines her going willingly into those woods.

I hope they obtain the very best dogs to search out that entire property and the entrance into the woods, etc...so many times, the victims are found not far from the area of abduction.

We have all heard some pretty convoluted reporting on different cases, but I don't remember one like this, when even LE takes back what they said previously (blood, no blood, yes blood, dragged, not dragged, etc. not to mention the calls to 911). I hope it is much clearer for those who need to know.
    Just my opinion, of course.

Or in front of him, with him reaching around to steer? that would have kept her pretty well immobilized, and I know I wouldn't have had the guts to crash an ATV, even to try to get away. And I'm pretty gutsy, lol.

You know, as I've been hunting down direct LE statements, I've been keeping an eye on the comments pretty close too. No one has come right out and said, Hey so-and-so is a pretty creepy guy, have they checked him out, like seems to happen in a lot of cases, so even though LE thinks it was a local, noone seems to have a good idea which local...that's scary. means whoever it is, they have a pretty good "sane face."

(link is fixed, sorry about that first link)

Okies, I've cleared this topic with a mod. See article linked above.

The abandoned car had Holly's cellphone in it, camo clothing in the back when discovered. The discovery changed the location of the searches. IMO, might be the most significant lead in the case.

So we have Holly escorted into the woods near her home, then...her possessions found in a throw-away car with discarded camo clothing and Holly's cellphone in it, IIRC, 8 miles from her home.

How did that happen and what does it mean?

Two kidnappers? A carefully planned vehicle switch?

Planned change of clothing for the kidnapper?

Don't know why it's not mentioned more often in media, but the MSM link (from several days ago) was brought to the thread today.

It scares the crapola outta me that we can confirm this info about that vehicle linked to Holly's cellphone linked to the new major search area...

Now why would a car be abandoned with pertinent items left inside? In a hurry? Surely this vehicle yielded many clues.....even if it was stolen.

We haven't heard any details at all......her cell phone and any pings, who owns the car, fingerprints found, dna evidence from inside the car, how far back the driver seat was set, tire prints, etc...........

Good morning all. Assuming the car is true (big assumption at this point) and it wasn't stolen just for use in the abduction, then they should know exactly who took her. But, if that's the case, why ask the community about people cleaning cars and ATVs. Even more puzzling, the date of this article does seem to tie fairly closely to when they said they needed more searchers because of "new developments".
We will never forget the missing.

For one, this article is from Friday the 15th, the height of the "car rumor/non-rumor/whichever".

Secondly, this article says, "after authorities say they discovered a car that had Bobo's cell phone along with camouflage clothing inside.".

Where did authorities ever say that they had found a car? I've listened to the pressers multiple times and have never heard "authorities" confirm a car. In fact, at 7:11 p.m. on April 15th, Will Nunley tweeted, "TBI: no vehicles have been recovered, that information is not correct ". So we have the TBI saying that there has not been a vehicle recovered, but I can't find anywhere where any member of LE says, "we've recovered a vehicle with HB's cell phone and some camo...", etc.

Can you point me to a link that quotes LE if you have one? It would be greatly appreciated.
