found this UID at Namus. found in the Ohio River on March 7, 2008. white male, estimated between 50-70 y.o., 5'11" and 219 lbs. stated to have gray hair with gray beard and brown eyes.

nothing noteworthy as to physical characteristics.

I found this missing person of interest, John David Stoddard, missing from Virginia in June 2007. According to the sources, he was 61 y.o., 5'11", 235 lbs, gray hair, hazel eyes, and he is pictured with a gray goatee.

Stoddard had a number of medical issues including mild memory loss. family stated he might be heading to Florida or Michigan.

Stoddard is in the correct age range, same height and hair color, hazel eyes can be mistaken for brown, weight is off slightly but only 16 lbs.

any thoughts on him or any other potential match?

I don't really see any reason why not. I've dealt with Regina before and she is pretty good about acknowledging if he has been looked at already/ruled out...or hopefully if not if they are willing to pursue the lead.

Give it a shot webrocket!

All available info looks good. I'd give it a shot.

not having heard anything back on this one, I sent Regina Reynolds a follow-up email.

got this very nice reply to my follow up from Regina Reynolds:

Mr. xxxx,

Thanks so much for your help. I did take a look at Mr. Stoddard, and he is not my UID. I will update the list as soon as I can, I continue to work this case and others, unfortunately they are not my only responsibility and I get a little overwhelmed sometimes! I appreciate everything you and the others do. Please keep it up! Thanks!

Sincerely,

Regina

so Ms. Reynolds does appreciate our efforts to help identify the UIDs.

NEW CUMBERLAND - A national online database for missing and unidentified persons lists three open cases out of Hancock County that local authorities want to give renewed attention to.

All three cases of unidentified persons - one in 2011 and two in 2008 - originated with decomposed remains found in the Ohio River in the jurisdiction of the Hancock County Sheriff's Department or the New Cumberland Police Department, according to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, which goes by the acronym NamUs.

Michael Allan 1954 Florida
