Anthony Eugene Hightower, 30, of Callaway, has been charged with aggravated child abuse, child neglect causing great harm and violation of probation in the incident, according to an arrest affidavit. Under Florida law, the names of child abuse victims are not public record.
Of course he made up a million and one excuses:
In one version, authorties reported, Hightower said the baby was injured when he shook him in an attempt to get the child to start breathing, but he accidentally knocked the baby into a door frame as he left a bedroom. In another version, Hightower told investigators that he was walking with the baby when he tripped, fell and dropped the child onto the floor.
In still another version Hightower said the baby fell off a couch on April 26.
How can people just harm these little innocent children?!?
