Rebecca Cassidy was last seen on April 10th, just days after starting a new job. Police say they don't have any reason to suspect foul play, but they're now asking for help from the public.

Shelbyville, Ind. -

Rebecca Cassidy's neighbors on 4th Street in Shelbyville say they were used to seeing her walking outside nearly every day because her daily routine did not include a car of her own. That routine came to an end two and a half weeks ago.

This case is puzzling. It was actually Rebecca's neighbors who noticed she was missing. They were used to see her do her routines every day. The neighbors reported her missing 4-15-10. It was not in our local paper till 4-27-10. Police finally put out a missing flyer this last Monday, 5-03-10. It's almost as if no one cares.

Lt. Michael Turner, public information office for SPD, said there have been no developments in Cassidy’s case. Since her disappearance was announced, police and family members have taken fliers about her to local businesses.

Turner said detectives are doing everything they can to find her.

DOB I found for her is 02/12/1977 so that makes her 33
also theres a court doc filed 4/23/2010 and her listed as a petitioner in a civil case I am unable to see what it is because its a pay site

Thank you for this post. This information has been forwarded to the police by her family.

Rebecca Cassidy is still missing! The flyers have been taken down around town. It seems as no one cares! Breaks my heart!

Bumping for Rebecca. No active search being done for her.

I'd like to look into this case, dig for info later tonight.

On the surface it appears that no one is looking for Rebecca? The one story says she has two children, though they did not live with her. Do we know why?

Had just started a new job when she disappeared, do we know where?

Has anyone contacted a reporter to see if some investigative journalism can be stimulated locally?

Why is the Missing Flier on the SPD Website so stinking vague? Makes me feel that Rebecca may be considered by LE to be disposable or less valuable than the other citizens of Shelbyville? Seen this before in some other missing cases where there was drug use and prostitution. Like that matters in a missing persons case!

Thank you Bam for mentioning Rebecca's case in the Guy Family Missing Thread.

I'll try to dig for some info. I believe I know one of her former neighbors. I do know she told me that she had to keep pushing to get someone to investigate because she felt something wasn't right.

Bumping for Rebecca! Been praying for you for a year!

Even when Rebecca Cassidy left home or got a ride with someone, Carolyn Pike says she never seemed to be gone for long periods of time.

"It's awful. It's really awful," Carolyn Pike said. "It kind of gets to me because she's a good kid."

Thank you Knox, Bam and Monet1369! I appreciate your efforts, as I'm sure those who care about Rebecca do!

Rebecca has been missing more than a year. All flyers have been taken down. Seems as no one cares! The Shelbyville Police would not even put her DOB on her flyer. Chief Elliott's reply to my email to why there wasn't one :He said we do not put DOB so no one can steal her identity. Why isn't even her family speaking out?
