Other than the height, which could be a guess or recorded incorrectly, this girl seems like a strong PM. IMO the teeth look almost identical. Hair color, eye color, freckles, and age all match up with our UID.

    https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/7083/5/

This UIDs sample has been sent into namus, IF they can extract DNA from the sample given it will go into the namus system, once that happens it will take about six months to run through all MP, and hopefully they will get a match. The good news is most girls that are strong PMs have DNA available.

Did she maybe go dancing to a country western bar that night?

Glad to see Smurfette's crew here. If anyone can help solve this case, it's you guys!

I wonder what Dr. Derrick has to say about this case. I wonder if any of you have discussed this case with her yet?

This is wonderful news. Most NamUs missing will be ruled out and hopefully one will be a match!

I guess it will be awhile before we can count NamUs missing with DNA as rule outs. And if there is match the family will have to be notified before the public. I wonder if this gal, possibly abducted by a truck driver:

The Harris County Sheriff's Office has its own database of missing persons, and very often, the missing persons on that list are not on the TXDPS website. I've never understood that.

Summer of 1980 was when the movie filmed at Gilley's was out and western wearn was all the rage. It was still popular in summer of 1982 and never really goes out of style in Houston. Gilley's and all of the C&W clubs were still in full swing and all the rage.

Based on the photograph, I think this person looks closer to 20-27.

This third young lady looks blonde in her pics......but her description says her hair color is Auburn.

It bothers me that she's listed as having dark brown hair, when it's clearly a dark reddish colour. I see these types of discrepancies a lot. It makes me feel like those who are in charge of these things are sometimes sloppy with their work.

For those who suspect she's older than 15-20, bear in mind that her appearance has already altered a little bit in that photograph because she was dead. When she was alive her eyes would have been bigger and therefore she would have looked younger.

100 Decker Baytown, TX (1981 & present day)

Also, a "100 Decker Drive" doesn't exist in Baytown, Tx. There is a 1000 Decker Drive, but the recovery location is listed as follows: 100 Decker Rd (I-10E at Crosby Lynchburg Rd). The crossroads they list would be the 7000 block of Decker Dr.
Based on Annemc post, this is a google map of the location where this young girl would have been located. (I-10E at Crosby Lynchburg Rd); Decker Dr & Crosby Lynchburg Rd, Baytown, Harris, Texas 77520: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=I-10E...ed=0CAoQ_AUoAg

Here's an historical aerial interactive map showing 100 Decker Baytown, TX. Not the best graphics, but wanted to share a sense of what that area looked like back in the 1980s - this is for 1981.

Agree; her hair appears to be naturally curly and dark red.

She is described as petite..and measured at 62 inches. So I'm thinking that anyone taller than say 64 inches (keeping in min that some of us do round up on height on our DL; and at the same time tend to round down on weight ) will probably not be a good possible.

Yeah, when I try to look someone up, I usually leave a gap of two inches-ish on either side. Though mind you, the woman known in life as Lori Kennedy-Ruff, who has her very own subpage on this forum, her 1988 Idaho ID lists her as 5'6'', while all her later driver licenses lists her as 5'11''. She was definitely beyond growing age, so we can only assume that Idaho didn't feel that strongly about height. I am just saying, strange errors do happen.
