Canada - Kamilliah 'Kammie' Keller, 19, murdered, Tweed, Ont, 7 June 2011
Unfortunate that this has happened in Tweed, Ontario - after all of the horror that Russell Williams brought on the small town.
I'm not sure if in fact her partner is responsible - but it seems so.
BELLEVILLE, Ont. — A 19-year-old woman is dead and an OPP officer injured in a violent domestic encounter Tuesday night in Tweed, north of Belleville in eastern Ontario.
Shots were reportedly fired. Police responded to a domestic call at 9:30 p.m. and said one officer was wounded upon arriving. It is not known if the officer was shot, but both the officer and a suspect were immediately rushed to hospital.
Kamilliah (Kami) Keller of Tweed was found dead in the home. A suspect remains in hospital with serious injuries. No further details were released and neither of the injured parties have been identified.
The scene is now a major crime scene for investigators.

Victim, suspect were "nice" couple: neighbours:
One officer was injured by a male at the home, who was apprehended but not before shots were fired. Police have charged Nathan Williams, 22, of Tweed with first degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.

Valleyboy - how strange/coincidental that his last name is Williams? After all of the heartbreak Tweed has been through. Tragic.

How horrible. I've seen several different spellings of the victim's first name. May she rest in peace.

From April 2013:
A “perfect storm for a tragedy” ended Tuesday with a Tweed man sentenced to life in prison for killing his partner and wounding a police officer...
Williams pleaded guilty Tuesday to second-degree murder and aggravated assault, averting a trial...
Kafka revealed Williams has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and suffers from psychosis and is medicated for each. The defence did not use mental illness as an excuse for Williams' crimes. Instead, Kafka raised it in support of his request, granted by Scott, that Williams be recommended for mental health care during his automatic 25-year sentence.
