    Bloomington Police search for missing 20 year old woman
    The Bloomington Police Department has been searching for a missing woman since 4:30 a.m. Friday. The woman is Lauren Spierer, age 20.
    She just finished her sophomore year at IU. Spierer studies fashion merchandising and was a University Division scholar.

    Family, friends search for missing IU student
    Lauren Spierer disappeared in Bloomington early Friday morning. Friends combed the back alleys of Bloomington Sunday to pass out fliers and look for the 20-year-old IU student who disappeared before dawn.

    Bloomington Police search for missing woman
    Bloomington police say they have been searching for a missing woman since about 4:30 a.m. Friday, June 3. Twenty-year-old Lauren Spierer, whom police describe as white, 4 feet 11 inches tall, slender build, blue eyes and blond hair longer than shoulder length, was last seen walking south on College Avenue from 11th Street in Bloomington.

    At a media briefing Friday morning police indicated that Spierer's boyfriend is one of several persons of interest in the investigation.

    Bloomington police man early morning roadblock
    An unannounced roadblock was manned by Bloomington police early Friday morning. Police stopped all traffic traveling through the intersection of College and 10th Streets during the early morning hours, the same time period when Lauren Spierer disappeared a week ago.
    Officers handed out flyers containing Lauren's photo and asked each driver their whereabouts on the morning of June 3. They also asked the drivers who travel through the intersection on a daily basis whether they had noticed anything out of the ordinary last Friday morning.

    Missing IU student: More details emerge about 'person of interest'
    Bloomington police hope that a Saturday night segment about missing Indiana University student Lauren Spierer on “America’s Most Wanted” will help generate even more tips about her June 3 disappearance.
    FBI officials are assisting local police with establishing a system to help handle the large volume of calls that are expected after the segment airs.
    “That’s just another tool, another opportunity for us to get exposure,” Bloomington police Capt. Joe Qualters said about reaching out to the popular television show for help.

    Police released two images today in hopes of finding clues in the disappearance of Indiana University student Lauren Spierer who went missing June 3.
    The photos, taken from security cameras near where Spierer was last seen, was of a mid-2000 white Chevy Silverado or Colorado four-door short-bed truck.

    A video of a pickup truck circling Bloomington in the same area -- and about the same time -- that Indiana University student Lauren Spierer was last seen has captured the attention of local police.
    Bloomington Police released enhanced images Wednesday from Morton Mansions apartments' security cameras that show a white four-door short-bed truck with writing on the doors and rear panel traveling along 10th and Morton streets twice in a 10-minute period early June 3, when the 20-year-old student went missing.

    Searchers take new info back to Bloomington streets
    - Volunteers armed with new information continued the search for Lauren Spierer Wednesday night.
    "The shirt was a V-neck, bell sleeves, and she has zippers on her leggings," explained Leah Aft as she handed out a paper to volunteers.

    Bloomington police on Thursday released a timeline and map of missing Indiana University student Lauren Spierer’s last known whereabouts, based on surveillance footage and witness statements.

    Post office box set up set up to collect tips for missing IU student Lauren Spierer
    “I am extremely disappointed by the fact that only one of Lauren’s friends have called the Bloomington Police Department with any information,” [Charlene Spierer] said before providing a post office box address for people to put anonymous tips.

    The address is Find Lauren, P.O. Box 1226, Bloomington, IN, 47402-1226.

    “You can’t get much more anonymous than that,” Charlene said.
