LOS ANGELES A 33-year-old woman whose ex-husband allegedly attacked her with a chain saw died Monday nearly two weeks after the assault in which she also suffered severe burns, authorities said
The woman, whose name was being withheld pending notification of relatives, died Monday afternoon at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, said sheriff's Deputy Scott Gage. The woman was attacked Sept. 28 in the unincorporated Lennox area when her ex-husband, Carlos Hernandez Romo, found her with another man, authorities said.
Witnesses said that the woman's boyfriend ran out of the home naked and asked people to call police. A fire also erupted and the woman came rushing out of the apartment trying to extinguish her flaming clothes.
