TX - Carter Strange Speaks About Five Points AssaultColumbia, SC- If there was ever anyone who could see the good in a bad situation, it's 18-year-old Carter Strange.
"Make sure you're hanging out with the right people," said Strange. "Be aware of your surroundings."
On June 20th, Strange was brutally attacked by a group of eight teenagers as he was walking home in Columbia's Five Points.

Crying because of the victim's parents reactions in court, seems the 19 yo is a little remorseful. Maybe he still has a chance to turn his life around.

At his first court appearance on the latest charges against him, Henrey gave no indication what might have led to Monday morning's savage assault. But he cried as the frustrations of the victim's parents boiled over
The 19-year-old is the only adult in a group of eight being held by Columbia police. The other seven suspects are all juveniles, according to Timmons. Their names cannot be released.
She said a 14-year-old, 15-year-old, and 16-year-old were charged with strong arm robbery, second degree assault and battery by a mob, and criminal conspiracy.
A 13-year-old and three other 16-year-olds were all charged with criminal conspiracy, according to Timmons.
