According to Louisville Metro Police, Carrico was at the home her mother shared with her brother inside home in the 10200 block of National Turnpike to take her mom to a doctor's appointment.
Lt. Barry Wilkerson, commander of the LMPD Homicide Unit, said detectives are still going through evidence and waiting on DNA testing.
