This case is highlighted on Namus homepage as a recent case and I spent some time looking into recent missing persons that could match, only to find out that this case has apparently been solved a few days after being entered in Namus.

The New York State Police in conjunction with the New York State Park Police, the Dutchess County District Attorneys Office and the Dutchess County Medical Examiners Office, began a joint Homicide Investigation on 06/12/11. In the early morning hours of 06/12/11, fire personnel from the Lagrange Fire Department encountered what they believed to be a brush fire in James Baird State Park (adjacent to the Taconic State Parkway), only to find a badly burned and unidentifiable human body.

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Police believe a body found in a Dutchess County state park on June 12 is a missing woman from the Bronx.

The New York State Police has tentatively identified the woman found in James Baird State Park as 22-year-old Jasmine Maxine Nunez.

From June 2012:

Her badly burned body was found in James Baird State Park, in upstate New York, seven days after she disappeared. Firefighters had gone to control a brush fire near the Taconic Parkway, and saw her lying in the grass, wearing Levi's 524 jeans, a cami shirt and Victoria's Secret underwear. She was unidentifiable...

During the 15 days prior, her killer posted comments on her Facebook page to make it look like she was still alive, just too busy with college classes and work to pick up the phone.

Only when he shot himself after being stopped in traffic by police did her family find out she had actually been dead for more than two weeks.

The murder of Jasmine Nunez by Andres Ceballos is detailed in the latest episode of Web Of Lies on Investigation Discovery.

The circumstances leading up to the murder remains unknown, but relatives stated that Ceballos became paranoid and jealous after they started living together.

They said Nunez and Ceballos would constantly get into arguments. He would hack into Nunez’s email accounts, listen in on her phone calls, and he would also include himself in the plans she had with her family.

He also posted on her Facebook account after she’d been murdered, fooling relatives into thinking Nunez was still alive.

After Nunez’s death, her relatives started a foundation called The Jasmine Nunez Foundation in an effort to prevent domestic violence.
