While checking up on Joshua Meyers of Virginia--the vice principal of an elementary school--I noticed another arrest nearby. A cautionary tale:

"A 48-year-old Amissville [VA] man was arrested just after midnight July 2 following a police search of his home that uncovered images of child *advertiser censored*. According to court documents, the images were found on a CD in a desk in the basement of James Carlton Benkelman’s home on Pine Drive in the secluded Rappahannock Lakes neighborhood...."

"...A woman claiming to be Benkelman’s girlfriend said she called the sheriff’s office after finding open Internet browser windows containing child *advertiser censored* on his computer. According to her, Benkelman was not home when she discovered the images. The woman said she and Benkelman freely came and went from each other’s home and when she stopped by on the morning of June 30 to print something off for work, she was shocked by what she saw. “I was sick ... I thought I was going to pass out,” she said of her reaction. After looking through the program’s Internet history, she immediately went home and called the police...."

According to neighbors, Benkelman has lived in the Rappahannock Lakes neighborhood for 20 years and serves on the homeowners’ association, where he is in charge of road maintenance. Those in the community, who know Benkelman simply as “Jim,” described him as a hermit of sorts who kept to himself until recent years, when he became more involved and seemed to enjoy spending time with their families...."

"In the same District Court session, Bruce Lee Geisert, 51, of Amissville was convicted of entering a property to cause damage and sentenced to 12 months in jail. Foley suspended all but four days of the sentence, put Geisert on supervised probation for a year and ordered him not to go on the property of James Benkelman and JS."

Odd that his lady friend is a make-up artist. That's kind of an unusual combo, given the description of Benkelman. I wonder if he sought her out as possibly she has contact with child performers. She specializes in bridal, pageant and theatre make-up.

Police had been called to a home on Pine Street [where Benkelman lives] by residents who said Geisert was tresspassing after having been verbally warned, as well as taking photographs and knocking on the door...."

I need to get out more. I feel like I fell down the rabbit hole. Let me get this straight. We've got a creep with child *advertiser censored* who recently has been far friendlier to neighbor families and who's taken boys on camping and fishing trips. His girlfriend turns his bunnies in for the garbage she finds on his computer--thank you ma'am.

Then, we learn that a man was arrested and charged for stalking and trespassing at Benkelman's home. That man, Bruce Geisert, is not only a stalker but a photographer and filmmaker. He's quite good. One of his films?

The judge suspended all but 4 days of Geisert's sentence. Then what does this mean? Last photo and his comment on his Flicker account:

Geisert has quite a CV. It's the same guy. See the towns and there's the film company. Why would the man be stalking a child *advertiser censored* collector just a couple of months before the man got turned in?

This is one seriously scary case IMO.
 
I cannot quite put my finger on just why I sense something strange afoot with Geisert, the stalker and photographer and Benkelman, the tree-man, but I do.

Remember how Geisert said that he was going to be away from his photography for a couple of months? Yes, he is:

There's something about Geisert's equine and international photography that makes me feel uneasy. I think there's more to this story.
 
If you google~Bruce Geisert horses~a number of pages come up. Geisert has 2366 photos in his "stream" and over 100 in a category called "horses"

These photos were taken between Dec. 25, 2010 and April 10, 2011

I wonder if Benkelman has horses on his property and that's what caused Geisert to get charged with trespassing in late March? On one of the horse photos, Geisert comments:

"...Called the stables: $100,000 horse. Asked if could take a ride; They just laughed...."

Then there's this one:

with a caption that says, "They really like carrots". These are all part of Geisert's stream and also shown in other folders such as "Love of Horses" and "Poulain mon ami".

Probably nothing at all. I'm just horribly jaded after researching Douglas Spink and his buddies. For all we know Geisert could have been locked up for some minor probation violation.
 
The two men's houses are 1,000 feet apart but not adjacent. Also at Geisert's address is this:

From Wiki:

For the address above, Geisert and L. Robertson are listed as partners in that "business". Is this just a joke? Why have a business license?

Whoa.. Someone has fallen down the rabbit hole and has a huge story that doesn't match up to anything :)

I'm the "makeup artist"- JS!
*Let me clear everything up for everyone,I've known Jim for 4 years we all live in the same community. I'm his neighbor and yea I'm a makeup artist but "NOT!" his girlfriend,I don't no how people came up with that one...

My sister "was" his girlfriend.
I introduced them a little over a year ago and she moved into a house in the neighborhood (she was going to even before they became bf/gf) and they were girlfriend and boyfriend until the unthinkable was found by my sister.

I do makeup on little pageant girls and he clearly isn't into little girls,it's young prepubesent boys ages 5-14.

Bruce also lives in the neighborhood & is jims neighbor- I had to go to court in feb bc while Jim was gone on a hunting trip I kept an eye on his dog and when i went over I seen Bruce coming out of his house with arms full of beer. I was just shakin my head bc it was like grumpier old men between the two of them.
I waited until Jim got home then told him but Jim was so mad I guess bc Bruce was in there and couldve snooped *around or whatever so he called the cops and I had to go to court and so on and so forth!*
The judge asked me*what*I*wanted*out*of the situation and I honestly didn't care I just was there as the witness,but Jim insisted on him not coming onto my property or his..(which the hole time I've lived there he only has came over once)*That's the only reason my name was involved!.

Bruce is a very good photographer and him and Jim used to be really close then all of the sudden there enemies.
Bruce is a good guy he was just the comical neighborhood drunk! ( and I'm hoping he's getting help in jail)
Jim also took tons and tons of pics
He had lots of labtops,flash drives,exspensive cameras,memory cards ect everywere.

Jim was very close with the neighborhood "boys" I have a little girl and he never payed her any attention! Only the little boys, he was an active member in the community and built floating docks,rope swings ect for the boys to play on. It's a shame we thought he was doing amazing things but instead he was watching these young boys play in there swim suits and fantasing.! Sick.

If you all need anymore info let me know I'll let you no what I no.*

His arraingment is august 16 and there * Could also be pendingu charges.. : /.

it was funny bc I googled Jim benkleman arrested.. Just to find the article online,& I seen this website and read it and was like wait a minute I have to get these folks on the right track :)

I lived at Rappahannock lakes Park until a couple years ago. I sold my home there and moved to Arizona to help my Sister take care of my parents. I lived there for 25 years with a couple different wives and raised my son there.

I am trying to get information on the James (Jim) Binkelman case.
I see in these old texts on this site that Bruce (his neighbor) was mentioned as well.

At one time I consered Jim and Bruce both
to be my friends. I know that Jim at one time was on my Facebook. Then, about a month ago I noticed he was not. I Googled his name and found that he had been arrested. I want to say I was shocked but deep down I was not.. It did knock the wind out of me though.
I noticed that one of your texts mentioned that Jim and Bruce's house were 1000 feet apart.. Actually , They were less then a 100 feet apart.. And , Both houses shared the same water well (something in the water?) and perhaps the same ceptic system.
I am trying to get information on this case.
 
One more addition to my previous text.. Bruce Geisert should not be confused with any sort of complacency in the Binkelman mess. While I would never have left my Son alone with Binkelman ( For reasons I cant explain other than my gut instincts) I would never have had a problem with Bruce and my son other than a fear that he might drive drunk with my son in the car. Bruce was and may still be a very talented writer of computer code. He traveled all over the world for his company (he may have been a partner) fixing computer problems. I believe he had enough of the world travel and took a buyout of perhaps a few hundred thousand dollars. He is a very talented photographer and there is no ill intent behind his photography. I just wanted to clear that up because some of the texts I read sort of insinuated that there was a sexual nature to his passion for animal photography... Just not true !
