I didn't feel that this changed anything at all. Just more of Ramos being a "**ck" imo.

They should have charged him with the other two originally, imo. I don't know what they see now that wasn't on the video before. This DA worries me a little. jmo

I've always had a fishy feeling about Rackauckas. He was far too lenient on Cicinelli, and gave Ramos the brunt of the charges. Seems skewed to me.

Prosecutor: Fatal beating followed police threat

ANTA ANA, Calif. — A bloody beating by police that left a California homeless man dead began when one of the officers on trial in his death grew frustrated with his evasiveness, snapped on a pair of latex gloves and told him, “’See these fists? They’re getting ready to (expletive) you up,’” a prosecutor said Monday.

Defense attorneys Wednesday rested their case in the trial of two former Fullerton police officers accused of beating to death a mentally ill, homeless man two years ago.

Their final witness was a forensic pathology consultant. He testified that psychosis and a weak, enlarged heart brought on by years of drug abuse led to the death of Kelly Thomas, 37, who died five days after he was involved in a violent struggle with six police officers, including the defendants.
