Family members of Mary Mills said they have not seen or heard from her since April.

Her sister, Amal Chiguer, said Mary disappeared April 8th. On that day, Mills had been going to visit her daughter in Toney.

In her search, Chiguer has contacted the Madison County Sheriff's Department and posted fliers around the county.

"She doesn't answer her email, phone is off, she's just gone. No idea where she is. We're just empty until we find her," said Chiguer.

Investigators said Mary was originally listed on National Crime Information Center's web site as a missing person, but earlier this month, they changed that to 'missing and in danger'.

Wow....I am a resident of Madison County and this is the first I have heard of anyone missing!

Toney is a somewhat rural part of Madison County. It has both very nice, expensive homes and middle class neighborhoods, and then it has areas with trailers, shacks and drug houses. There is an industrial area nearby, and a few cotton farms. There are plenty of places to hide a body if she met with foul play in Toney.

I wish we had more information on this young woman....just some background would be helpful. I'll have to dig around and see what I can find out.

Mary is only 34. I wonder how old the daughter is that she was going to see. Does the daughter live with an ex of Mary, on her own or with someone else? Did she actually arrive there? So many questions.

I looked and looked but there is no information on Mary. It's very sad....she's missing and we can't really do much to help because we have so little to go on. She is getting no media coverage other than what we've seen posted here, and she's been missing for nearly 4 months.
How can we help Mary? How can we help this family?

In the link in Post #1, to the right of the article, there is an expandible picture. . .
in that picture the one hanging on the wall is Mary so I'm guessing that is her daughter and her sister standing looking at the picture.

I did not hear anything about this and I live in Madison, have to go see her face, and keep my eyes open, there is no coverage on her here. They should post this over on the facebook sites for the news channels WAAY TV channel 31 and WHNT channel 19.

Why is there no coverage here in the Madison County area? No one can keep an eye out for her if no one knows she's missing.

The sister needs to release more information.

Who has her daughter that she had to go to their house?

Who was the friend who alerted the family that she was missing?

Did she show up to see her daughter?

Really?

Just a start.

MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has found the remains of a woman reported missing in 2011, and they’ve also made an arrest.

Investigators announced Tuesday they have found the remains of Mary Carrithers, and charged her husband, Charles Carrithers, with murder. He is being held on a $750,000 bond.

Investigators caught a break last week when they received new information that led them to a wooded area off U.S. 231 near Huskey Mountain Road in Morgan County, where Chaffin said her remains were found. Her husband was then arrested based on the discovery and the new information...

Chaffin said it will take time for forensics to determine when Mary Carrithers died, but deputies estimate it happened close to the time she was reported missing. She was 32 years old at the time. Her cause of death has not been released.

Sam said she never gave up searching after her sister disappeared more than three years ago. She said she called investigators for daily updates for a long time. Eventually, those calls went to weekly to monthly, but never ceased until about two weeks ago when they called with the news that her body was found in Morgan County.

"I'm happy she's found but sad she's really gone. It feels just kind of empty," Sam said.

During a press conference last Tuesday, Madison County investigators said they were absolutely certain Carrithers is guilty of killing his ex-wife, and Sam agrees with them. She said she was always confident he did it, but it was not until her sister's body was found that a murder charge could be brought forward.
