what's with all these young men in WV and KY of late?

most seem to associate with the wrong types with bad results.

I hope this one has a happy ending.

you would think they'd check the pond. so many guys wind up dead in bodies of water.

The above posted article says they used K-9s and dive teams to search the pond on Sunday.

Woodville Drive is located just outside the city limits of Huntington, off State Rt 10 (Hal Greer Blvd), one of the main roads leading into town. It is also very near the interstate entrance/exit. I'm not sure how far out Woodville Drive he was last seen. The farther out the road, the more rural the area bcomes. I live in Huntington, and I am familiar with the area.

I'm a little frustrated about the lack of media coverage and information.

    Zach needs to be found!!

Who was he with last and why do they think he's in danger?

I read somewhere that he has a young daughter, I'm sure she is missing him terribly.

Well look at me fussing and now I found this posted 4 minutes ago

    http://www.herald-dispatch.com/news/...ngton-man-case

Hash said drag and dive searches of the pond, along with a grid-by-grid land search, had found no sign of Boggs as of Wednesday afternoon. The last activity reported on Bogg's cellphone was at 3:24 a.m. Saturday
Who did he call and what tower did his cell phone ping from?

Hash said troopers remain open to the idea that somebody picked up Boggs and kept him in hiding, either forcibly or at his direction. Stress, foul play or an overdose remain other possible explanations.

"There are just too many possibilities to narrow it down to just one," Hash said. "One thing we are very confident of is that he is not at that property."

Time has not been on the investigators' side. State police did not receive word of Boggs' disappearance for approximately 24 hours, Hash said. Boggs' family grew concerned when he did not return to his parent's home to meet his fiancée and infant child as scheduled at 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
Well it sounds like they have thoroughly searched and cleared the area he was last seen. He has a fiancee too. Poor girl, she must be worried sick.

Investigators search for clues in missing Huntington man case

Investigators have many questions, but no answers as to the whereabouts of a missing 21-year-old man from Huntington.

    [snip]

West Virginia State Police Trooper W.G. Hash, who has been leading the investigation, said police interviewed several people who attended the party. Their statements were largely consistent. Several vaguely knew what Boggs looked like and that he was carrying a lantern, however they did not recall him socializing so much that he made an impact on anyone there. Nobody recalled seeing him leave the party.

Hash said drag and dive searches of the pond, along with a grid-by-grid land search, had found no sign of Boggs as of Wednesday afternoon. The last activity reported on Bogg's cellphone was at 3:24 a.m. Saturday.

A few in Ohio too. And most are close to the ohio river. I'd be looking at drug running along the Ohio river.

There is quite a bit of drug activity in Huntington, mostly individuals from Detroit involved in drug distribution and trafficking in the Huntington area. A lot of this activity takes place along the Hal Greer Blvd area. I'm not saying that's what happened in this case, but it is a possibility.

Four teenagers were murdered in Huntington in 2005 on the night of their high school prom. That case was believed to be drug related, and there still have been no arrests.

Another case that still has not been solved is the 2007 murder of Marshall University student Leah Hickman. Leah was missing for a week before her body was found in a crawl space in the apartment building where she lived.

I hope for the family's sake that Zach is found alive and well very soon.

What is really scary is that people are getting killed because people need money for their drugs. You don't have to be a user or dealer to get hurt by these crimes. It's getting so scary. We are seeing crime here in north central WV that we've never seen before.
