Evelin Valibayova was last seen leaving work at Area 4 restaurant in Cambridge on July 16, said Quincy Police Detective Leo Coppens. After midnight the same day, she texted a coworker saying she could not cover her shift on Monday because she was going on a business trip.

Her boyfriend contacted Quincy police the next day when he could not locate her.

Valibayova had recently put down $3,600 on an apartment in Brighton and was in the middle of moving between her two homes. When police searched the Quincy apartment, they found a mattress on the floor and personal documents, Coppens said.

“Her passport hasn’t been used,” he said. “Because we have it.”

Snipped...Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man seen in an MBTA surveillance photo who used Valibayova’s Charlie Card to access MBTA services.“Although this person is likely not involved, we would like more information on how they came into possession of the card,” Morrissey said.

Investigators found that Valibayova made a $3,600 down payment on an apartment she was going to sublet in Allston-Brighton the following September. Police are also asking for the public’s as they try to determine exactly where she was planning to move.

“Someone knows where that is, because they arranged the sublet or had planned to room with her. They may not believe that what they know of her is important, but we need to talk to them,” Morrissey said.

Evelin is a AUBG alumna, class of 2011.... she speaks SIX different languages !!!

I was looking into others missing in MA when I found Evelin's story...all because I saw this headlin this morn:

Missing girl from Boston found dancing at Providence strip club
http://www.providencejournal.com/br...on-found-dancing-at-providence-strip-club.ece

The victim in that story was only 15 but Evelin IS stunning tho it sounds very unlikely that scenerio could be what happened to Ms. Valibayova --- I did cringe seeing her explore talent listing.

ETA she had signed up here - i wud guess as a translator - on June 24 2011:

OUR OPINION: Light a candle for Evelin Valibayova, too

[snip]

While we are deeply moved by this outpouring of empathy for an innocent being, we can’t help but remember Quincy resident Evelin Valibayova.

On July 16, 2011, Evelin Valibayova, 23, was last seen leaving work at the Area 4 Restaurant in Cambridge and getting off the Red Line at the North Quincy station. There is evidence that she was on her Hodges Avenue phone and computer that night. Then nothing. She simply disappeared.

The Norfolk district attorney’s office, in a court filing this week, for the first time has identified the chief suspect in her disappearance and apparent murder. He’s John D. Castonguay, who in 1986 lured a 9-year-old girl walking her puppy in Woonsocket, R.I., to a remote area of Blackstone, Mass., where he sexually and physically assaulted her in a gravel pit, leaving her naked and bleeding, tying a rope across her mouth, according to court records...

Castonguay “was working as a handyman in her building at the time of her disappearance,’’ the court document states, “he had keys and unfettered access to her apartment, and he admitted to being in her apartment, including cleaning the apartment after her disappearance. [Castonguay] remains a suspect in this case"...

Boyd said Valibayova told him Castonguay was performing repair work at her Hodges Avenue apartment shortly before her disappearance. “She was uncomfortable being alone there with him,’’ Boyd said. “His presence made her uncomfortable for personal safety reasons. For lack of a better term, she thought he was creepy.’’
