    NY - Betty Iannarelli, 84, Irvington, 5 Aug 2011

Police investigating the disappearance of an Irvington woman say their search has turned up surveillance video footage of the woman walking in Irvington shortly before she was reported missing.

In the video, 84-year-old Betty Iannarelli can be seen walking up Main Street in Irvington around 1:55 a.m. on Friday. Police are working to enhance a still image of the video to release to the public.

Cerone said the department had received tips from the public about Iannarelliís location, but the leads all turned up negative. Police have searched the Croton Aqueduct for signs of Iannarelli and used tracking dogs to try to find her, but they have been unsuccessful.

A reward of $5,000 is now being offered for information leading to Iannarelliís whereabouts.

On Friday, the family of a missing 84-year-old woman who suffers from Alzheimer’s made a desperate plea for help.

    ~~snip~~

“She’s probably dehydrated. And I’m sure she’s so confused. She doesn’t know where she is,” Fusco said, fighting through tears. “So if anybody has any … Get the message please! Please don’t overlook her!”

Candlelight Vigil Held For Missing Irvington Woman

Debra Iannarelli stood near the Main Street School in Irvington Thursday night as candles flickered quietly in front of her. She prayed for her mother.

    [snip]

Irvington Police Chief Michael P. Cerone noted that New York Search and Rescue had searched the area on Thursday, retracing trails that canines had gone over last week to see if anything could be discovered. The search turned up nothing.

IRVINGTON -- It's been two weeks since Betty Iannarelli vanished from her home in the middle of the night, and there are still no signs of the 84-year-old who suffers from Alzheimer's.

I am so sorry this case isn't receiving very much attention. Although I have to qualify that by saying she may have been found and I just missed it somehow.

I have not been able to watch the video of her daughter pleading for help to find her mother, but I have read where she was asking for people to please not overlook her mom if they saw her somewhere and to please not hurt her. I couldn't stop crying.

This doesn't look good for Betty but I pray with all my heart her family finds her. Hopefully alive, but if not, they at least need to know what happened to her. I guess you call it "closure", although I hate that term.

Please God, show them where she is.

There is just something about her that comes through even in photographs. I have a feeling she is one of those ladies who is a mama or a grandma to anyone who needs one. God bless her.

I cannot even begin to imagine what her daughters are going through right now.
