An Osceola County jury took less than two hours Tuesday to find a career burglar guilty of the 1989 rape and first-degree murder of a 79-year-old widow.

Circuit Judge Mark Blechman immediately sentenced Johnny Lee Hilton, 54, to two consecutive life terms in prison...

He testified that he was a homeless alcoholic in 1989 and was looking for homes to burglarize about 2 a.m. the day of the murder... Hemminghaus had a crushed windpipe, 14 broken ribs and other internal and external injuries, a medical examiner testified.
