I see three MP's from the Coeur D'Alene area.
Daniel James Angel (2004) - http://www.nampn.org/cases/angel_daniel.html
Sally Ann Stonel (1986) - http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/s/stone_sally.html
Deborah Jean Swanson (1986) - http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/s/swanson_deborah.html

NAMPN lists a Brandon Eugene McCulla missing in 2010, but it appears that he has a Kootenai County Sheriff arrest that post-dates the MP report.

My first thought was Rachael Anderson. But whoever this turns out to be, I hope it will bring answers to a family.

Only a 2-hr jaunt up the back hwys from Moscow to Rose Lake, and lots of areas where these remains were found that are under water part of the year, if found in low enough place.

The Idaho State Police website lists all the missing adults and children in Idaho. I don't see a way to search for just those in a specific area. It looks like you'e have to go through each category one by one.

This one from Coeur d'alene is on the front page though:

Amanda MacKinnon Date of last contact 10-20-2010 in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho area. Entered in the Juvenile category.

Okay - I know this may be a long shot, but how about Susan Powell?

From SLC to Washington State, Coeur d'Alene is straight in the path to Spokane.

Idk why but when reminded of Rachael, it also brings to mind Nancy Moyer.

Still waiting for news about this. Wow! I hate waiting! ;) I know that these things cannot be solved as quickly as they are on TV, but gosh, I sure wish they could!

I'm thinking older and from a broader area, either Julie Weflen or Laurie Partridge.

Still watching and waiting for news.

Have they determined age, gender, anything yet? Also, were the bones found on 8/24 from the same person or someone/something else? I cannot find anything new...? They should know approximate age and gender by now shouldn't they?

Still nothing on this?! I am still wondering if there could be ANY possibility that this is Susan Powell. Hmmm. I hate it when things take so long to figure out. Nothing else in the news!

Kootenai County detectives are mum about whether there's evidence suggesting human bones found in August south of Rose Lake are those of a Spokane Valley man missing since last year who was last seen in that area during the summer of 2010.

Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest on Wednesday issued a press release offering a cash reward for information regarding Terry Lynn Mattingly, 45, who has been missing since last year.

It's the second half of this article...

XXXX XXXX,

Good afternoon, my name is Ken Lallatin, and I am a detective Sergeant with the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department. Unfortunately there is little I can share at this time as this is an active investigation, but I can say that we do suspect the remains found are that of Terry Mattingly.

Tips sought on man missing since 2010

Bones provide clues in mysteries
“When asked if investigators have reason to believe it was Mattingly's bones that were found this summer, Lt. Stu Miller of the Kootenai County Sheriff's Department said, "Can't say - detectives haven't said.

Miller said forensic identification of the bones hasn't been determined and he doesn't know when it will be. An anthropologist in Seattle is examining the bones - found by campers near the Coeur d'Alene River - for dating and possible identification.

Miller said there were no signs of foul play where the bones were found.”
