From May 2014:
James Beau Jeffery was found not criminally responsible for stabbing his mother to death in August 2011. Justice Robert Scott delivered the verdict in the murder trial before judge alone in Picton court Wednesday morning...
Scott ruled Beau Jeffery has a "major" mental illness that rendered him incapable of knowing what he did was morally wrong when he killed his mother. Jeffery was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia by Kingston psychiatrist, Dr. Maeve Fahy, in March 2010...
Beau Jeffery will remain in custody at Providence Continuing Care Centre in Kingston... until he appears before the Ontario Review Board at an undetermined date. The board annually reviews the status of every person who has been found to be not criminally responsible or unfit to stand trial for criminal offences on account of a mental disorder.
