According to Lt. Tim Sterkel of the Oak Harbor Police Department, Nikolas "Nik" Ngo, 21, was last heard from Wednesday, Sept. 7, at about 2:30 p.m. when he text-messaged his girlfriend that he was on his way to her home in Lake Stevens.
Ngo never arrived and then didn't show up for work on Thursday or Friday. Sterkel said the man's roommate reported that Ngo, an enlisted man with Maritime Patrol Squadron 69, failed to show up for an "advancement exam."
"That's pretty important," Sterkel said. "I'm worried he encountered foul play or hurt himself."
Ngo is believed to have left riding a black 2005 Kawasaki ZX motorcycle with the Washington license plate 6B4988. He may have been wearing a grey and blue motorcycle jacket and matching grey and blue helmet. You are the anchor to my soul, you won't let go ...

My niece just moved from Whidbey last month. I emailed her to see if she knows him. Said she doesn't, but would ask friends if they do.
Hope this young man is found safe. You are the anchor to my soul, you won't let go ...

Oh no I hope he wasn't in an accident! That's the first thing I think of when someone goes missing on their bike.
Hope he comes home safe!
