Bizarre death of man who suffocated when he became tangled up in a clothes horse (Daily Mail)
A father-of-two has died after a 'bizarre set of circumstances' led to him becoming trapped in a clothes horse.

Brian Depledge, 38, suffocated after falling backwards into an airer whilst hanging up washing inside his Bradford home last February.

It's thought he tripped over a stool and fell on the drier which then collapsed and wedged him in its plastic rungs.

When he desperately tried to free himself, he created a 'cats-cradle effect', making the compression worse.

Coroner Prof Paul Marks said: 'Brian's was an untimely death caused by the most bizarre set of circumstances - probably rarer than being struck by lightning or struck by a meteorite. It’s an extremely rare cause of death.'
