Bumping this to watch. He is due to be released next month and should be moved to another state or NC prison for the next trial.
Please be aware that what I type is my opinion.

NC extradites Hickman County murder suspect
    The Daily Herald
    August 2, 2015 - 11:52pm

CENTERVILLE — An arrest in a 10-year-old murder case has led to new fears that the man accused may have many more victims.
For years, Jennifer Smith’s murder was a mystery. Now, John Wayne Boyer, the truck driver who admitted to her killing, is in the Hickman County Jail.

John Herbison and a state employee came across the body of Smith, 25, in an empty parking lot off exit 152 of Interstate 40 in Hickman County. He remembers it like it was yesterday.

“It was like right in here behind the concrete barrier,” Herbison said. “She was like laid behind the edge of the grass there.”
Police said the young woman was not clothed and didn’t have ID.

    [...]
In 2009, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation matched Boyer’s DNA to Smith’s murder and indicted him. Boyer confessed.

    To recap:

SCARLETT WOOD, NC - JWB sentenced to 12 years in 2007

The 31-year-old prostitute was last seen at the Travelodge on Market Street in Wilmington. Boyer told investigators he pushed Wood and her head hit some furniture in the motel room. Unable to revive her, he dumped her body in an overgrown area behind a house in the 1600 block of North Kerr Avenue. Her body was found more than three months later, but her remains were not positively identified until 2006.

A forensic anthropologist at the University of North Carolina Wilmington found evidence that Wood suffered broken ribs, facial fractures and stab wounds in the pelvic area, disputing Boyer's claim that he shoved Wood into furniture. A judge sentenced Boyer to 12 years.

JENNIFER SMITH, TN - JWB charged and extradited to Hickman County, TN in August 2015

Authorities also connected Boyer to the 2005 slaying of Jennifer Smith in Hickman County, Tenn. A detective with the sheriff's office there told The Associated Press that Boyer picked up the 25-year-old prostitute and drove her to an abandoned parking lot off I-40. There, the two argued over money, allegedly leading Boyer to strangle her with the seat belt, push her body out of the cab and drive off.

MICHELLE HAGGADONE, SC - not charged as of 2014

Michelle Haggadone went missing from Bolivia in 2000. In August of that year, a motorist who walked into the woods at an Interstate 20 rest area in Darlington County, S.C., happened upon the 34-year-old's body. An autopsy determined she had been strangled with some sort of wire object and laid in the woods three weeks before she was found.

It was not until late 2011, when investigators paid a visit to Boyer and, they say, coaxed a confession out of him that the 55-year-old with a long gray beard was given another murder charge.

Sunday marked 14 years since the body of 32-year-old Michelle Haggadone was found and still no one has been charged with killing her, even though in 2011 investigators named a man who they say did it.

Haggadone's family says the mother of two led a risky lifestyle before she was killed since she worked at truck stops as a drug-addicted prostitute. That's one reason the family says from the start investigators never took this case seriously, and more than a decade later, no one has been brought to justice for her death.

ROSE MARIE MALLETTE, NC - not yet charged

Boyer is a prime suspect in the death of 26-year-old Rose Marie Mallette, who was reported missing in 2001, said New Hanover County Sheriff's Det. Ken Murphy, a cold case investigator in Wilmington. The reported prostitute's remains were found wrapped in a blanket in an industrial area of the city a year later, the back of her skull crushed.

Some time after Haggadone died, detectives suspect Boyer chose another victim, 26-year-old Rose Marie Mallette, whose body was found in 2002 wrapped in a blanket by railroad tracks behind the MCO Transport trucking company in New Hanover County. Boyer used to work there, said Detective Ken Murphy, who is leading the investigation for the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office.

While Boyer has not been charged in Mallette's case, detectives have focused on him as the prime suspect. When authorities arrested Boyer for Wood's murder, he told a detective that he knew Mallette.

"BEACH", NC - unnamed missing person

More recently, he became a suspect in the investigation into Beach's whereabouts. She was 37 years old when she disappeared from Wilmington in 2000.

Most of the victims worked as prostitutes, for example. Their bodies were dumped in areas frequented by truckers. And they all were petite women, especially compared to Boyer's thick, 290-pound frame.

I think this must be the missing woman referred to as "Beach".
Virginia Lynne Beach, 37, missing since Oct 17, 2000, from Wilmington, NC.
