On September 24, 1998, Ms. Ziemlewski, age 26, was found shot to death on a walking trail on the Metropolitan District Commission (MDC) Reservoir property near Old Mountain Road in Farmington.

Even after hundreds of interviews with witnesses and friends and co-workers of both Agnes, as well as a reward of $50,000 being offered by the State of Connecticut, no arrest has been made.

Police believe she knew her attacker and she was walking her dog on a path on the day she was killed (not clear from this article whether she was with the dog at the exact time she was killed): https://patch.com/connecticut/farmington/christmas-tree-unsolved-murder-anonymous-decorator-0

More details here: http://articles.courant.com/2000-09-27/news/0009272015_1_killer-arrest-case Curious who the suspects were.

Wonder who she was dating at the time or if there are any shady men she knew through work?

All these years she could have brought peace to this family but chose not to. That’s just cruel and evil. I hope the court gets her for accessory to murder or something that ruins her life, like prison.

Snips:
Pires, of East Hartford, has been interviewed multiple times over the years but her statements to police have not been consistent, an official told the Courant.

Police have released little information on the allegations against Pires.

Pires was arraigned Monday in Superior Court in Hartford. Her bail was set at $25,000.

The judge granted the prosecution’s request to keep the arrest warrant sealed for two weeks.

I wasn’t able to find a Facebook page for her. Do you have a link or the title to it that I can search for? Thanks!

Hard to believe we're just a few months away from the 25th anniversary of this case!

Even harder to believe we still haven't closed it. Farmington is not exactly a place where people get murdered left and right - someone definitely knows something.
