    Conrad Murray trial -Day four.

Counting the days like this makes time seem to be going so much faster! For me anyway, not so much for my family.

After the long Anthony trial and now this one, I had to get my family a puppy! It gives me an excuse to watch the trial while I am puppy breaking . I get to rush back home without the extra chores inbetween errands. I have to keep a close eye on the puppy ,which is why I keep him with me watching the trial too!

My puppy (Jack)thinks Conrad is going to be found guilty. He doesnt trust the AEG guy.

P.S If I had known all my family needed to make them happy was a puppy I would have got one for the Anthony trial.

My 6 yo granddaughter came into the room during discussions of opening statements on HLN and said, 'liar, liar, pants on fire'! She could have been their only juror, this case would be over and done.

I think the courts should incorporate the use of elementary school age children on juries. THey see things as they are!

True dat Isabelle! Both DH and DS have only seen snippets and say "dayum, that dude is guilty". Everyone and their uncle (IMHO) knows MJ didn't inject himself with a fatal dose of propofol.

I've been watching on HLN, but they go off the air here in Indy long before the day is over. Is there another network carrying the trial? I don't have real fast internet so I can't watch online.

InSessions goes off air at 3pm eastern time. Then HLN picks up the live coverage until the court day is over.

I believe there were many events of the day not recalled by Alvarez right away because he was not familiar with medical supplies, protocol, etc. Only when LE took him moment by moment throughout the day could he recall the details. This relates to the brain having to process new and unfamiliar information.

True and Alvarez said yesterday that he didn't realize the significance of the vials and the white substance he saw in the saline bag until seeing some things being reported the following day on CNN.

I have no problem with Alvarez not mentioning certain aspects until he was questioned thoroughly. He was in crisis mode, upset, he just lost a friend and a job. I could never sit down directly after a crisis and relate every detail. My mind would never do it, I would be an emotional wreck and not capable of thinking. Really, I can't think clearly around others anyhow, my mind is to busy. I have to be away from others to think clearly or recall anything with detail.

I thought it was made clear that Alvarez was not walked through the situation until he talked with the prosecutors. I did not think the defense muddied, or any media, by saying he added things on. I think everyone knows details come back later, once you are calmer and once someone asks you to slow your mind down and go through it no matter how slowly you have to go or how long it takes.

Unless I have included a link, it is my opinion and only my opinion that I am expressing.

WTH is wrong with JVM? Anyone watching her on HLN? I think she's completely lost it! Janet...Janet...what are you doing here today?....oh, obviously to support your brother. Janet ignores her.

JVM then goes on to critique her wardrobe selection today.

She did the same thing to Mason and Baez after the trial was over. It was a bit freaky! JVM IS freaky.

Pulse ox used by Dr. Murray is low end and not intended for monitoring a critical care patient. The drugs MJ received would place him in the critical care category.

Just shows where defendant's priorities were as far as $$. Now he certainly had no problem paying for $3500 lap dances.

Just used for spot checking .

Maybe that is why it Murray stuck it on Micheals hand while Alveraz was there. He was spot checking.

[Assessment of the addictive risk of propofol].
    [Article in German]
    Bonnet U.
    Source
Klinik für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie & Klinik für abhängiges Verhalten und Suchtmedizin, LVR-Klinikum Essen, Universität Duisburg/Essen.
    Abstract
In a survey of American and German medical personnel, the injectable hypnotic propofol was identified as one of the most frequently abused anaesthetics. With the help of MEDLINE, EMBASE, Scopus, Cochrane and internet search, data were sought that permit an assessment of propofol's risk of addiction. The clinical evaluation for hypnotics can usually be made with the scale of Griffith and Johnson. Thereafter, the relative risk of addiction (dependence potential/toxicity) of propofol is rather moderate if compared to phenobarbital. Its addictive potential is somewhat lower than that of lorazepam and cannabis (non-hypnotic reference) approximately in the range of that of triazolam or zopiclon. The few published clinical case reports (n = 8) are mainly from Germany and describe distinct psychological (craving, loss of control, focusing of behaviour on the use and procurement of the substance) and low levels of physical features of addiction (withdrawal symptoms, tolerance). On average, in the case reports 4.25 of 6 criteria of dependence (ICD-10) were met. The consumption of propofol is mainly limited to medical or medical-related occupations. Propofol has yet not arrived on the local black markets. An oral consumption appears not to occur or to be unattractive. The incentive of propofol's "high" (euphoria/relaxation) via the intravenous route is probably underestimated. This is supported by a high mortality rate (46.2 %) in the 78 reports on the consumption of propofol up to date. Forensic analyses consider mainly accidental respiratory arrests to be responsible for the deaths. In summary, propofol is considered to be a primary mental addictive substance that is characteristically intravenously consumed by persons within the medical profession. Because of its apparently narrow safety margin between pleasure and death, propofol is an extraordinary hazard which, unfortunately, is only reflected insufficiently in the scale of Griffith and Johnson.

Needless to say, but it is grossly irresponsible of a Doctor to be administering this drug like CM did.

Instructions with the Nonin 9500 indicate no audible alarms and intended only for spot checking (instantaneous reading at a doc office just to put your numbers on a piece of paper at your regular appointment).

This doc had 4 clinics, did he not have some realtime equipment there that he could have taken along? WTH.
