    Robin Gibb hospitalized in England

    Robin Gibb hospitalized in England
    snip-
Intense stomach pain sent Bee Gees brother Robin Gibb, 61, to the hospital.

He was hospitalized Thursday in Oxford, England, for "abdominal pain and is being treated for inflammation of the colon," according to a statement on his website.http://www.robingibb.com/home
The singer had emergency gastro-intestinal surgery in August 2010. And in April, pain forced him to postpone a solo tour planned for South America after his medical team advised him not to travel.

Wow! My prayers go out to Robin! I was so sad when his twin brother died of a similar complications back in 2003. The Bee Gee's were the first group that I liked in the "Disco" era!

    Album - The Titanic Requiem
On 15 April 1912 the Titanic sank in the North Atlantic and over 1,500 people died. 100 years later, Robin Gibb and his son RJ, commemorate this disastrous voyage and catastrophic loss of life with the release of The Titanic Requiem, their first classical work together. Recorded at Air studios with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the RSVP Voices choir, and produced by Cliff Masterson and Savvas Iosifides, this modern classic includes three vocal pieces: Daybreak (Mario Frangoulis), Christmas Day (Isabel Suckling), and Don't Cry Alone in which Robin Gibb sings the evocative lead vocal.

Such sad news. The Bee Gees music is linked to so many of my good memories. Many prayers for Robin and his family.

No.2 on my list of Bee Gees favorites. ("I Started A Joke" is No. 1)

Bee Gees Robin Gibb shows flicker of life after brother sings to him

    snip-
She (Robin's wife Dwina) said Barry had been singing to his brother, while the singer's children have been playing music to 'try and bring him back'.
A source close to the family told the Sun: 'There were flickers of life from Robin. His eyes moved and there was an attempt at speech.'

A song for Robin: Bee Gee Barry Gibb sings to his brother in bid to bring him out of coma
Robin's children also play music to their father to "try and bring him back to us"

    snip-
A friend said: Dwina has been incredible. She has been such a rock of support for everyone and is just so, so strong, remains upbeat and is just willing Robin on and on. She will never give up just like Robins attitude throughout all his recent health problems. The pair share that same fighting mentality.

Last Sunday our sister paper the Sunday Mirror revealed how Robin was still *writing lyrics and making a bucket list in his *hospital bed shortly before he lapsed into a coma. He was scribbling down ideas for songs and plans for the future in a notebook only a few days ago while being treated for pneumonia.

Prayers for Robin and his family. This is just so sad.

This video gives a foretaste of the holograms that will be projected in 3D at The Titanic Requem concert in London April 10th and illustrate the story behind the music:

Have you ever noticed whenever Robin sings "I started a Joke" Barry turns his back to the audience and gives Robin all the attention. Wish I knew what the significance is to that. I feel it has something to do very personally between the two. God Bless Robin. I hope he makes a full recovery. They are most assuredly the greatest musicians in the world!
