Intense stomach pain sent Bee Gees brother Robin Gibb, 61, to the hospital.

He was hospitalized Thursday in Oxford, England, for "abdominal pain and is being treated for inflammation of the colon," according to a statement on his website.http://www.robingibb.com/home
The singer had emergency gastro-intestinal surgery in August 2010. And in April, pain forced him to postpone a solo tour planned for South America after his medical team advised him not to travel.

Wow! My prayers go out to Robin! I was so sad when his twin brother died of a similar complications back in 2003. The Bee Gee's were the first group that I liked in the "Disco" era!

Bee Gees legend Robin Gibb is in a coma and his family has gathered by his bedside amid fears he only has days to live ... this according to a new report.

Gibb has been battling colon and liver cancer and is now suffering from pneumonia, says The Sun.

She (Robin's wife Dwina) said Barry had been singing to his brother, while the singer's children have been playing music to 'try and bring him back'.

Last Sunday our sister paper the Sunday Mirror revealed how Robin was still *writing lyrics and making a bucket list in his *hospital bed shortly before he lapsed into a coma. He was scribbling down ideas for songs and plans for the future in a notebook only a few days ago while being treated for pneumonia.

Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb has woken from a coma after more than a week and begun to show signs of recovery.
Spokesman Doug Wright said he was able to nod and communicate with his family who have held a constant vigil at his beside in a central London hospital.
The 62-year-old fell into a coma after contracting pneumonia in his battle against colon and liver cancer.

Have you ever noticed whenever Robin sings "I started a Joke" Barry turns his back to the audience and gives Robin all the attention. Wish I knew what the significance is to that. I feel it has something to do very personally between the two. God Bless Robin. I hope he makes a full recovery. They are most assuredly the greatest musicians in the world!

OMG it's a miracle. Thank you to his family and friends who kept vigil and sang to him, the medicine he needed to awake. OMG this is amazing! xoxoxo

WoW.....:what:...talk about totally weirded out....after posting on the thread and scanning some of his videos...I started listening to the big O's...who I absolutely have been bonkers over since I was a kid in the late 50's/early 60's.
