Olathe is in Kansas, just short way away from Missouri. I'm sure it was just a mistake.

I wonder where Ryan's friend lived-- what direction, how far, etc.

Oh, I hope Ryan is found safe. It sounds like he is perhaps slightly disabled, which tears at the strings of my heart. Wouldn't this be a special alert, tho ("endangered")?

Does anyone know if Ryan's cause of death has been determined? Since he was positively identified back in August 2013, after his skeletal remains were found in March 2013, I still have found nothing after searching online of his COD. I ran across a few articles that states that the COD has not been determined. I also have not read anything that states foul play is suspected, only that the investigation is ongoing.

It troubles me that in a city where the area murder rate is so high that it becomes so commonplace that investigations are forgotten by the public. Was his remains found in Kansas or Missouri? Johnson County Kansas when asked by a resident states that there were "6" murders in 2013 and they were all solved.
