GUILTY FL - Jerome Pearson for child *advertiser censored*, Hialeah, 2011

I feel sorry for this man's wife. He probably borrowed against the house for his $500,000 bond and lost it by breaking his restrictions. Just cannot follow the rules and here he was teaching kids to follow the rules for years.

Former Broward teacher pleads guilty in child *advertiser censored* case

"A former Broward County public school teacher pleaded guilty Friday to a federal charge of possessing thousands of child-*advertiser censored* images on a computer at his home in Hialeah. Jerome Emery Pearson, 43, taught at Everglades High. He was hired by the Broward County School District in 2005..."

"...The ICE agents' initial inspection uncovered no evidence of child *advertiser censored*, but later a "small number of images depicting child erotica were found." ICE Special Agent Michael Bentolila asked Pearson whether he had any child *advertiser censored* on his computer. Pearson said he had been viewing images of "young teenagers" and "younger children" on the Internet for about 10 years..."

"...during a forensic analysis of Pearson's laptop, agents found more than 1,500 images of child *advertiser censored*, according to the statement. Agents discovered the images within a file identified as "thumbcache_256.db," which Pearson had not erased with the wiping software. "These images depicted several minors under the age of 12 years old engaged in sexually explicit activity and of a nude minor female under the age of 12 years old who appeared to be bound by a rope...."

....yes, feel sorry for his wife on many levels.

If Pearson would have "covered the children" if he were present for their abuse, what was he doing viewing that abuse? That's the question.

And his wife wants him home because he's deeply religious?

"A Broward County school teacher who had more than 1,500 child *advertiser censored* images on his laptop computer was sentenced to four years in federal prison on Friday. Jerome Pearson, 44, of Hialeah, was a math teacher at Everglades High in Miramar until he resigned shortly after he was arrested in July...."

"...Investigators said there was no evidence that Pearson ever sexually abused any child, but he admitted that he had been downloading inappropriate images of children for 10 years. Pearson said he had been fighting what he called an "addiction" for a long time. He said he had tried to kill himself in the past and also ran a software program to try to erase the *advertiser censored* from his computer so he would no longer be tempted to look at it. The program erased many images but left behind the hundreds of photographs that investigators later found...."
