27 October 2011 Main Stream Media coverage of Baby Lisa

Police: Parents of missing Missouri girl decline separate interviews

Kansas City, Missouri (CNN) -- The attorney for the parents of a missing Missouri toddler will hold a news conference Thursday as police continue their search for the 11-month-old girl.
The news conference comes a day after Kansas City police said the missing girl's parents declined to be interviewed separately by authorities.

My reply in the other thread:

Just terrible! Do the right thing for your child, both of you!

BTW - According to LE, they have never asked the parents to do any interview without their attorney present. I'm going with believing LE! These parents do not and have not wanted Baby Lisa found.

This came from Debbie, IMO. Tacopina has to now eat his words that he stated in the interview yesterday. She is suffering from a lot of paranoia right now. MOO.

    Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

This is not NEW news. Simply a rehash of the same thing.
    From the same article
The couple's attorney disputed the police account and said Jeremy Irwin and Deborah Bradley, parents of 11-month-old Lisa Irwin, are not opposed to separate interviews. But they will not do what police requested, an unrestricted interview with no attorneys present, the attorney said.

I would certainly believe LE over a Def Atty any day, but I'm not seeing in this article where it says that they've never asked the parents to do an interview without attys present.

    The linked article states:
But they will not do what police requested, an unrestricted interview with no attorneys present, the attorney said.
......but since it's not in quotes, I'll take that with a fist full of salt.

The only thing from CS that is in quotes is:

"Being questioned separately is not the issue," said attorney Cyndy
FWIW, I don't believe LE have ever requested that no attys be present during questioning, but it's been such an issue in the last few days here, and I'd really like it to be cleared up once and for all.

Do you happen to remember where you saw LE deny the claims?
(Sorry to be a PITA) and TIA

Local victim reaches out to Baby Lisa's parents, tells them to use all available resources, to talk to the media, and become involved.

After she guides media through the Irwin home Thursday, attorney Cyndy Short, who is representing Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin along with New York lawyer Joe Tacopina, will hold a news conference at 12:45 p.m. to discuss details in the case.

    From my Comcast homepage:

Missing baby's brothers to be interviewed again

KANSAS CITY, Mo. Kansas City police plan to re-interview the two older brothers of a missing Kansas City baby Friday as part of the investigation into her disappearance three weeks ago.

A specialist trained in interviewing children will talk to Lisa Irwin's brothers, The Kansas City Star reported Wednesday. Police spokesman Capt. Steve Young said police also planned to collect DNA from the boys to compare to unknown DNA found during the investigation and possibly eliminate some as evidence. Such samples can be obtained using a cotton swab inside the mouth.

Police had said they hadn't been able to talk to the boys since Oct. 4, when parents Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin reported 10-month-old Lisa missing. The boys, ages 5 and 8, are Bradley and Irwin's sons from previous relationships...

Is it okay to discuss the news posted here? Or just post the links and take all the comments elsewhere?

I think, but not 100% sure, this thread is for the MSM links for today, like we had in the Caylee Anthony case. HOWEVER, I could be totally wrong too!

There is already a "no discussion" media link sticky thread. I believe this thread is to discuss what is happening in MSM today. It just can't turn into a General Discussion free-for-all.

    I think.

ETA: Ooops, I'm wrong. Links only in this thread. Got it!

    Lightbulb

Thanks for the clarification, I've found myself guilty of this a time or two this week.

Just voicing a suggestion here... Wouldnt it be easier to have this as a place to post the links and then start a thread called "[ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=152801"]27 October 2011 Main Stream Media (OPEN DISCUSSION)[/ame] "

I've seen because of this rule the general discussion either floods into too many threads and posts being put in innapropriate categories, or everyone just seems to break the rules here every day and have the open discussion.

Just a suggestion. 2 topics, less flood and mud.

Heck Bee! Might make your job easier!

the point of a forum is to not have general discussion threads... so this one is for what is happening today in the media (including what people hear on live/real time tv, shows like nancy grace, jane valez mitchell, fox news insider, etc)

    hope that helps..
