Latasha is a mother of three. She is going to school to become a dental hygienist. Her husband says that she went out to go to a local convenience store and never came back.

    Where are you Latasha?

The last time Brenda Morgan saw her daughter it was during an afternoon of laughter and jokes.

More than two weeks later, family and friends kept up the search for the young woman, herself a mother of three children, who vanished without a trace.

Latasha Nevitt, a 30-year-old student at Everest University studying to be a dental hygienist, was reported missing Oct. 14.

The Sun-Times article linked above said:
Latasha Nevitt, 30, was last seen Oct. 10 in the 1300 block of West 107th Street, according to a missing persons alert from Calumet Area detectives.

Nevitt frequents the area of the 10700 to 11700 block of South Halsted and 11500 S. Kedzie Ave., the alert said.
The reference to S. Kedzie Ave seems to relate to Everest College, where Latasha was a student. Is anyone familiar with the South Halstead area mentioned above? It appears to be a major commercial area, not too far from where Latasha lived, so I presume that is where she regularly did errands and perhaps socialized. Does that make sense?

    Therefore, send not to know, for whom the bell tolls;
    It tolls for thee.

There is not much at all in the media for this case... especially disappointing is that the Chicago area has SO many media sources.

I am convinced it is race. Lisa Stebic, Stacy Peterson, need I say more. So unfair.

The very enlightening interview done by Shelia Bradley Smith and IL Missing is saved in the case archive. It is very long but worth the listen. It shows Chicago police are pathetic for the work (no work) done.

Where is the major investigation unit? Where is SAR? K-9's?

    News crews?
They did a few news shots on 10/29/11 but nothing is saved online to view.

Latasha is/was a Mom, a Student, a Daughter and Wife. She went to her Mom's house every single day and she went to that store every single day.

Her husband accompanied her to school on the bus and texted with her constantly.
She would not leave her baby twins there without her
(his words on the SS interview)

Thirty-year-old Latasha Nevitt, a wife and mother of three, has been missing since Oct. 15. She was last seen walking to a convenience store less than a mile away from her home in the vicinity of 107th and Loomis. Relatives said it's out of her character to simply walk away from her family. Friends, family and community leaders scoured the South Side neighborhood, passed out flyers and made impassioned please for her safe return.

I just saw this case featured on the show The First 48: Missing Persons on A&E. I highly recommend watching the show since it follows the Chicago detectives from the minute the call came in about Latashia, through the first 48 hours she was missing. You see them talk to Isaac for the first time and interview Latashia's mother. Really informative show.

By the way, on the show they spelled her name Latashia with an "i" before the last "a". I'm not sure which spelling is correct.
