Doctors found the boy had fractures to his skull, a femur and all his ribs, among other bones.

He had visited the doctor Sept. 9 without any signs of injury...

Aguilar has denied harming the boy. He told a deputy that if anything happened to the child, it was accidental. He also told the deputy, "I guess I wasn't ready for this child," according to his arrest report.

A deputy noted in the report that Aguilar has not worked in the past two months and has been the boy's primary caretaker.

The child was transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, where he is in stable condition. The injuries could cause the boy to suffer from blindness, brain damage or seizures, according to the sheriff's office.

According to the police report, Aguilar originally denied any abuse. After learning of the baby’s injuries, police say he confessed.

A Haines City man was sentenced Friday to five years and five months in prison for abusing a 3-month-old boy.

Javier Aguilar-Ninapaytan, 23, was arrested in November 2011 after deputies charged that he was responsible for the child's injuries...

Brian Haas, a spokesman with the State Attorney's Office in Bartow, said the boy's health has improved.

At the time of Aguilar-Ninapaytan's arrest, the boy had a variety of injuries, including "an acute skull fracture" and "multiple old and new rib fractures," the report states.

Especially the young guys. They don't want to babysit. But yet we have a case after case where mother leaves the child with some guy.
