Detroit police are seeking volunteers from the public to help search for a 2-year-old girl missing for days since a reported carjacking.

Police say volunteers should sign up at Metropolitan United Methodist Church beginning this morning before heading out into the community in the search for Bianca Jones.

Beginning on Monday, December 5, 2011, from 10:00 a.m., until 8:00 p.m. Recruitment of volunteers: This will continue throughout this investigation.

WHERE:

Volunteer Site - Metropolitan United Methodist Church, located at 8000 Woodward Avenue.

Note: Citizens are required to sign up daily at the Volunteer Site before proceeding out to patrol in the community.

Can anyone clarify whether the father called the police immediately to report a carjacking? Several of the articles say that the car was found 'ten minutes later' but it doesn't say by whom. Thanks!
