Where is Kelli Cribbs Abad?

It's reported that the 27-year-old missing mother vanished leaving behind her passport, cell phone and purse.

This indicates that she was not intending on being gone from her home for long, and it certainly indicates that wherever she is right now, she's not anywhere where she can make use of these things. She's either being held captive somewhere or she is dead. It's a negative view to have, but it's also statistically sound.

I used to live there. :( There really is not much crime on the island. She sure couldnt have left without a passport. I saw where her car was parked. Like she was meeting someone maybe? moo

Kelli Cribbs Abad, who is from the southeast Georgia town of Brooklet, was last seen Oct. 26 leaving a gate at Kadena Air Base near Okinawa, where the 27-year-old woman’s husband is based.

Abad’s Toyota sport utility vehicle was found three days later in a coastal area about 10 miles from the base.

Channel 2 Action News reported that Japanese and U.S. military authorities searched caves and cliffs near where Abad’s SUV was discovered, but found no traces of the woman.

how scary! why are we just now hearing about this????????

I am a military wife and have been stationed with mister nurse overseas several times to add up to almost 10 years of our military career... it just makes no sense that she has been missing a month and we are just now hearing about this!

I hope she is found soon!

It is unclear what might have happened to Abad and her vehicle during the three days between her leaving the family’s home and the vehicle being discovered, Cribbs said.

Cribbs said she does not want the investigation to focus only on Zanpa point, the coastal area in Yomitan about 10 miles from Kadena Air Base where Abad’s green Toyota was found the weekend following her disappearance.

Abad could be anywhere and clues are needed, Cribbs said.

“Some people think they don’t know anything. but they may know something.”

Just a few more things that i was thinking of. The some islanders are infatuated with blonde hair and blue eyes. I know this because my children were blonde and they would always rub their heads when we went off base. I also had one that went to daycare and he was treated like a king. I have been out and my friends little boy was spit on because some do not like americans. Also ur car has a Big Y on the tag meaning that u are a yankee. moo

I am not sure about Japan, but in Germany and Europe the military has done away with the "military plates" per se... as they pretty much make you a moving target  so now the plates actually resemble european plates... that being said, the first few letters on a european plate are letters for the town your car is from.. so the letters the military uses pretty much still give you away.. but it is better than the old version imhoo....

A couple red flags make it sound very hopeful she's left on her own.

She doesn't smile in her pictures. In my experience following missing persons cases, I've noticed a correlation between people who are hiding unhappiness, and then they take off, and people who have that expression in pictures. Notice her early pic her mother is holding from a long time ago - she's smiling. In the two recent ones, her expression is like she's checking for stray particles between her teeth. She looks depressed to me.

Second, she's "never left for more than a couple hours to cool off". Who does that? I don't know anyone who's stable who does that - vanish for a couple hours in anger.

So prayers that she's found alive and well.

I wonder how long they've been in Japan?

She had one tweet on twitter and it was dated feb of 2010. She does have a myspace but it's private so no use posting the link. Her twitter said she's ready to go home.

That could mean anything, I"m ready to go home from the mall, I'm ready to go home from work----etc.

I spread her facebook support page through my own facebook (I have one to keep in touch with family and friends we've made over the past 20 years as a military family) I asked everyone to help spread the word for her Mother.
