Troopers and detectives have determined that Ray Wesley McFarland, 18, who worked as the service station night attendant, was shot with a .38 caliber pistol in what appeared to be an armed robbery of $132.

(This is how I stumbled across this cold case on the internet).one freeway exit up from where an Okemos teacher disappeared more than 20 years ago and there has been no contact or sighting of Paige Marie Renkoski since then.
McPhee says the McFarland case has never been exposed to modern day media or the Internet and he wanted to bring it into the 21st century just in the event that one person sees it and has information.
