They both hope opening up about Ray will help jog someone's memory and help police find his killer.

After a long time of pain and silence, the Mcfarlands hope answers will come.

one freeway exit up from where an Okemos teacher disappeared more than 20 years ago and there has been no contact or sighting of Paige Marie Renkoski since then.

McPhee says the McFarland case has never been exposed to modern day media or the Internet and he wanted to bring it into the 21st century just in the event that one person sees it and has information.

Ray McFarland, 18, murdered 23 November 1971

Michigan State Police say they're hoping to get new information about the 1971 slaying of a gas station attendant.

18-year-old Ray McFarland was murdered in Webberville, in Ingham County's LeRoy Township, about 20 miles east of Lansing. He was shot to death with a .38 caliber handgun by an unidentified assailant Nov. 23, 1971 in an apparent armed robbery that netted $132.

Police say detectives investigated several possible suspects following the killing until the case went cold in 1978. State police in 2004 resubmitted DNA and ballistic evidence for analysis...
