It was stolen from my town.... we've all been laughing about it LOL
 
Someone who is going to do a lot of Christmas baking!!
 
Whereabouts of Trailer Loaded w. Margarine?

I predict many reports --- from Waterloo Iowa to Fowler Michigan ---
of golden-brown turkeys, delicious cookies, and yummy baked goods.

JMO.

Maybe someone was in a tight spot in their life and needed a way to grease things to make it easier.

A guy looking for a way to 'butter up' his girlfriend.

The news paper story also talks about the truck of beef jerky that was stolen....
we had a good laugh about that one as well

Prior cargo thefts have included a trailer loaded with beef jerky. The trailer was found in Dubuque. There was also a load of dog food where the trailer was recovered in Michigan and a shipment of dental hygiene products that is still missing.
 
Someone who's drunk. I know someone who stole a milk float after a heavy night drinking and went around delivering free milk to half the town.

I think the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier (above) gets credit for the best headline: "Missing margarine truck found --- empty; thieves slip away".

Ha ha ha, it was probably a Norwegian doing it.... Haven't you heard that we're having a national crisis now?? We don't have butter and the shops are empty... We tried to import from Denmark, but they weren't willing because of toll prices... Even if Norway lifted the toll Denmark wouldn't export to us, because of principle and pride.

There will be no cookies for Christmas this year. I'm not joking, this crisis is real and featured in msm every day.

If this stuff gets stolen it's because there's a market for it. It's all about quantity I suppose. A single tub of margarine is not something Joe Consumer would seek to find on the black market because it's cheap and abundant even at the supermarket. But to Joe Corporate who consumes three tons of margarine a week things may look different.
