Twiggs County Officials Continue Searching
First time I have ever attempted to start a thread, so somebody help me out if I am goofing up, please!

I am very concerned about this gentleman, Troy Donavon Burnett, who has apparently been missing from his home in Twiggs County, GA, since December 20.

He is 47 years old and takes medication for a seizure disorder. His family says that without it he may become disoriented and/or hallucinate.

He is reported to be is 5'5'', 150lbs and was last seen wearing a blue windbreaker, dark t-shirt and blue jeans.

ETA: So sorry -- I looked and didn't see a thread for him, don't know now how I missed it! Thanks for fixing, summer_breeze!

I'm not sure whether this was included in its entirety at the link from the update from this TV station, so I am posting the YouTube version from that station here (Note: At the end, they say the Twiggs County Sheriff's Office will hold a news conference about this case on Friday -- hoping some new coverage will come out of that!):

Reward Offered for Missing Man

JEFFERSONVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - Twiggs County Sheriff Darren Mitchum is vowing to leave no stone unturned, in order to find a man who has been missing for nearly two years. ...

... Ida McClinton says her son's disappearance has taken a toll on the family.

"It has been really devastating and tiresome and hurting and everything else for the last two years," McClinton said.

Burnette is the only missing persons case still unsolved since Mitchum became sheriff in 2005. ...

Posting this early and very brief report of bones found in Twin City (Emanuel County), GA here in Troy's thread because (a) that location is not too far from his home county of Twiggs and (b) also not too far from Dublin (Laurens County), in the direction of which some early reports said he was last seen heading:

Middle Georgia Cold Cases: Out of Sight

Realizing the need to respond quickly, investigators called in help from local dive teams and aerial support from Georgia State Patrol.

"Between the air searches and multiple ground searches all around there, I really thought that once hunting season came that following year, if he did wander off into the woods somewhere and something happened to him, then someone one would find him," Mitchum says.

Nothing.

Just wanted to give Troy's thread a bump, though I have not seen any "new news" on his case in a long time. Just was reading in the Unidentified forum about a UID found down in Sarasota, FL, recently, who is said to have been male and of short(ish) stature (which SOME sources say Troy is) and it reminded me of Troy -- though no race was mentioned yet for the UID. Don't think it's really likely he ended up in Sarasota...just brought him to mind.

With his small size, vision/hearing/seizure problems -- he had so much working against him. It seems like he just disappeared without a trace. I sure wish some leads would come in. Last news from LE, IIRC, was that they WERE suspecting foul play.

For quick reference, Troy's NAMUS again:

https://www.findthemissing.org/cases/show/13467

...and Charley Project:

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/b/burnett_troy.html

I notice NAMUS says dental records are available, but no DNA.

ETA: Should have read before I posted -- because I see now that there HAS been a fairly recent update, from August. (Thanks for posting, JusticeWillBeServed! I had missed that somehow, and this case has always touched me.) That update doesn't specifically mention the suspicion of foul play -- that was in an earlier update, so IDK....

Unfortunately, many of the earlier links in this thread are no longer functioning. Here's one (from 2013) that is, with interviews from some of Troy's family members:

Sure hope they can bring Troy home.
