Well, it was offshore and there's no tsunami warning right now.
The thing is, there are going to be aftershocks probably.
The quake struck at 2:28pm (0528 GMT), the agency said. Its epicentre was located near Torishima, an island about 560 kilometres (350 miles) south of Tokyo. It was about 370 kilometres (230 miles) deep.
The mid-afternoon quake swayed buildings in Tokyo but it did not disrupt the final of the Emperor's Cup football tournament under way at the National Stadium.

Dear God please be with these precious people. They have had enough pain to last them more than a lifetime.Save the Earth! It is the only planet with chocolate.

The quake struck near the uninhabited island of Torishima in the Pacific Ocean, about 600 kilometers (370 miles) south of Tokyo, and its epicenter was about 370 kilometers (230 miles) below the sea, the Meterological Agency said. It did not generate a tsunami.
Buildings in the Tokyo area shook, but no damage or injuries were reported. Express trains in northern and central Japan were suspended temporarily for safety checks but later resumed.
No abnormalities were reported at power plants, including the crippled nuclear power plant in northeast Japan hit by the March earthquake and tsunami, public broadcaster NHK reported.

Not good but we knew it was expected. I suppose it will warrant a new thread. I'll be gone all day tomorrow so anyone who wants to follow up, go for it.
Sorry, the news is 3 days old, just didn't see a thread for it here:

I just watched a documentary on the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan back in March of 2011. I didn't realize the magnitude of it all. Entire cities were just washed away. The people immediately got to work. Within 3 days they had rebuilt an entire roadway. They plan on rebuilding right where the fault line is. They believe that destruction is a sign that change needs to happen. It's almost been a year since we did our last show.Jay Bush my partner has been auditioning for the show Shark Tank and so this has put the show on hold. If he gets on Shark Tank, we will be terribly delayed. Good luck Jay. Either way we will one day continue the show and have the coolest global independent radio station out there. This is just a small video we did with one of our artists.Waiting for One and their tune 35 years. Check it out.
We hope to be doing a radio show with all our artists real soon. Hope you can join in the fun. Please bare with us while we improve the show especially the sound.
