    WY - Alexander Frye, 13, Cheyenne, 31 Dec 2011

    Search Continues for Local Teen

Cheyenne authorities continue to follow up on leads, searching for 13-year-old Alexander Frye of Cheyenne.

According to friends and family, he went missing New Year's Eve somewhere between 6 p.m. and midnight.

    [snip]

Bryan Grzegortyk says a command post has been set up at the American Legion on east Lincolnway. He says about 80 people have been searching for Frye all day but no clues have turned up.

Awww. That's not good. If he was with friends he should have turned up by now. Darn.

So 'last seen' between 6 pm and midnight. It sounds like his parents went out for New Yrs Eve and expected to see him at home playing video games when they returned. How scary.

I am worried about this young man.
There are very few clues so far.
Did he have a cell phone with him? pings, etc.?
Who are his friends...and do they know where Alexander may have gone?
I imagine all of this has been explored by LE, but my sleuth mind is starting to work.

Please share with people who work on railroads, particularly in and around Wyoming, because Alex may have jumped a train.

With I-80, I-25, the UPRR & BNSF also coming through Cheyenne it is possible he could be further than anticipated. Also Alex is a HUGE railfan.

Don't want to post an unconfirmed rumor, but according to the FB page he was found at a train yard with a self inflicted gunshot wound

Awwwwww. This is truly tragic. I would have never seen that ending from looking at his adorable pictures. He looks so happy and engaged in life. This is really really heartbreaking.

He reminds me of a young Prince Harry.

These cases honestly break my heart and make me cry. I wish I could tell Alex and TJ Schomer that life does get better, even if it doesn't feel like it ever will again.

A body has been found in Cheyenne. Cheyenne Police have not confirmed, but say the crime scene near the railroad tracks does have something to do with the disappearance of 13-year old Alexander Frye of Cheyenne.

CBS NewsChannel 5's Kyle Markley was at the scene Tuesday morning and witnessed the Coroner arriving on the scene. Police told CBS NewsChannel 5 the scene did have something do with Frye, but would not confirm any other details.

According to Assistant PIO, Lew Simpson, Cheyenne Law Enforcement is ruling Alexander Frye's death as a suicide. They say he took his own life. An autopsy is planned for tomorrow in Loveland, Colorado.
